    Agree Ted. What really "disappoints" me about this is the expense of the mediocrity. The Sox spent about $170. mil on two guys that have only a handful of xbh. But the Sox have sold the sizzle and most fans swallow that s*** in one gulp. The Sox FO lucked out in a major way in 2013. But this team is effectively no better that the 2014 team which was worse than the 2013 team. This team just blows big f***ing donkey dicks. I am just rooting for players at this point. If the Sox go on a tear I will be happy but suspicious anyway. GO MOOKIE! GO HOLT!!!!! GO SWILHART!!!! GO TAZ!!!!!!

    I have been watching the Sox since 1966. I know that I must have seen worse rotations. I must have, right? In any case, with the exception of Wade Miley this is the rotation that I suggested the Sox would build. I do not assume any blame for suspecting that the Sox would go after both Porcello and Masterson. I still like the Porcello signing ( although I would have waited until about June to re-sign him regardless of his desire not to talk during the season ). I do like Masterson but would only have signed him if the Sox had legit #1 and #2 starters on the team. I can see the low risk - moderate potential reward. It just won't work out on this staff and team. These are just my opinions and everyone is surely welcome to attack me if that is how you wish to prove your manhood. This team is toast. Expensive toast.

    I've been against getting him all along. Sox need to get younger quality arms. If they can. 5 years of Cole Hamels does not excite me at all.

    I do not see how things will improve dramatically from what we see now. There are no silver bullets. This team does need two quality rotation arms and they just are not available now. Ben f***ed up. I was going to wait 30-40 games into the season to say these words but it seems clear to me that my projection of 3-4 in the division is likely going to happen. I'll watch all of the games and hope for the best for my team but I am a realist. This team is a wrong accumulation of pieces.

    I would like to know why the Sox pitching coach and manager have not been able to help Kelly as Shilling suggests. I thought those two guys were supposed to be especially good at that type of thing.

    Got to hand it to the Yankee FO. Last year the rotation was a mess but somehow was stabilized by good effective pitching. This year many similar problems and questions exist. Yet, the pitching has been pretty good overall. At least good enough to keep the teem in most games. I wonder why the Sox do not do this?

    I keep reminding myself of these things when I see Miller pitching for the Yankees. I hope he makes it soon. Like the end of this year for a peak and then maybe full time in 2016. I like pitchers that can throw hard.

    Well you come from another country and speak another language. So many will let you off the hook for your grammar, etc.. I am expected to know the exact name and spelling of that name when it is someone who rarely gets mentioned compared to other people. I have been trying to learn how to spell our announcer's name for about 5-6 years. Don Orcillo, I think. I try to make my post intelligible if not intelligent. I guess that I am failing in the minds of some. Blow me to anyone but VA or Derek that feels the need to correct my bad spelling.
