  1. I met The Hawk at the Wild Shootout at B.U. in '72 I believe. THE LARGEST HAND that I ever shook! He was the coach for the Pittsburgh team. I was a huge Hawk fan. Maybe the greatest player ever. But we will never know because he got screwed. Of course I met the next best thing in Julius Erving when he played in Amherst at The Cage.
  2. Another Talksox non-essential debate.
  3. This is how I feel as well. And I will ad that other than a bunch of stupid things he said while in Philly ( especially saying bad things about Boston fans who treated him very well ) I have nothing against him.
  4. Exactly.
  5. It won't help his cause, that's for sure.
  6. Yeah, puritanical was the word I should have used. Really, who cares who is f***ing who as long as it does not involve children or animals? It sucks that she has lost her job over this.
  7. Which reminds me of a story!!! As some of you know, my Dad was PhD Cell Biologist. He spent much of his professional life teaching medical students so he could support his research in Insulin synthesis and regulation. Back in the early '60s, he was teaching at the U. Louisville Medical School. During a lab ( no pun intended ) a student called him over to his bench where he was opening up a dog cadaver. He said "Dr. Rieser, my dog he s*** on me." Now that was gross. And funny. Carry on.
  8. I was just about to post this. Good for Farrell. Nothing like young p Well anyways. This f***ing town is so Provincial. Who cares if she was banging a team manager? The Sox FO are f***ing pussies.
  9. Oh my. All that fancy education manifests itself.
  10. So here is the solution. Let's all move to Mexico!!!!!
  11. Boy. I'm getting an update on the challenges of "out of market" Sox fans and what they have to do to watch and follow our team. What a f***ing drag.
  12. He did???? Wow. I must have been in a coma or I am thinking of someone else. Did Myra Kraft say unkind words about him?
  13. You can bet that if he were young enough at least one team would take a shot at him. Like The Cowboys. The combination of age and a highly visible crime was too much for teams to get past.
  14. Thanks. I remember mumblings about that creep. I also remember Myra Craft saying no to a Pat's draftee named Any Katzenberger or something. One of the top rated linebackers I believe. Drafted by the Pats and cut because of a college pantie raid that went bad or something. Once the press got a hold of something it was over for any athlete in this town. Long before social media was so prevalent.
  15. Bon Appetite.
  16. Lol. Poor girl. You must be Jonesing.
  17. Didn't the Sox just dump or get rid of Will Cordearo (SP )?
  18. Meh. No sense looking for him to fail. We all know that he has limited range and mobility. If That base runner had speed he may have been safe anyway. He'll have plenty of f***-ups. No need to worry.
  19. Yup. I miss the old school NBA where low post play and drives to the basket were not discouraged. I did enjoy the old ABA with the tri-colored ball and Screamn' Leamans. But watching NBA players bombing away from 35 ft does nothing to enhance the game. Just my opinion.
  20. Is the Sox game on TV??? I can't find it.
  21. I think his primary gig is NESN.
  22. And Pablo can turn this around. Put up decent numbers the entire season and don't be a f***-up at 3rd. If he does that, most of the s*** he is catching will die down.
  23. Is anyone else concerned about E-Rod's knee?
