I don't understand why Owens has not been successfully coached-up. This s*** has been going on for two years and it seems no improvement has been made. He pitches like s*** in Boston and the goes down and does the same thing in AAA with lesser hitters and gets away with it. It is reported that he has been pitching very well and he is brought back up to fail once again in the bigs. He is still kind of young but what the f***?

Here is another way to dole out the blame. If Farrell had not chosen to pinch run Wright then maybe Buch could have started today and pitched better than Owens.

Yup. I like Shorer but he should keep his f***ing yapper closed with the exception of possibly speaking with Farrell behind a closed door. Hit and you can play again.

I am pleased as punch with how he performed. Yes, 7 innings would have been nice. Mother Nature did not get the memo. He was cruising and quite economical.

Reportedly Owens has looked much better recently. Of course this could mean anything. Like lowering his walks from 6/9 to 4/9.

This is sort of like when Drew Bledsow went down and Tom Brady took over. Bledsow stood on the sidelines relaying signals into his successor. When asked about having such a highly compensated back-up QB owner Bob Craft responded "It's like having a Cadillac in the garage."
