  1. That is your opinion. Not fact.
  2. Yeah I agree with this approach. It should be a standard procedure for all the regulars and especially if one of them is slumping. Of course it helps to have a hot hitting sub available for a position. I fnunez wre not on the roster we would be clamoring for the regular guy to snap out of it.
  3. Of course you don't buy that "idea" because Henry is not on tape as having stated the policy or decision and Dombrowski himself, live, and on tape, said that he had been given NO SUCH INSTRUCTIONS. That story line is fabrication that hand wringers and doomsayers espouse. Again, one of the advantages of living in or proximal to Boston is that one call see and hear these policy decisions being said by the principals involved. I am for more likely to take it at face value when the horses ass says it right into the camera ( on the Sox own network, no less ) than to swallow the tale of woe spewed by some fans on the web.
  4. I agree that if Ben had required Miller at the end of the season it would have been a good trade. One could say the same thing about sending Lester to Oakland if he had been resigned as well. The Miller trade is better than either the Smith or Thornberg trades to date. But ERod has contributed very little and it is MY OPINION that he is nothing more than a tease and will end up being a drain for this team. It's okay in one way. Every team needs a 5 or 6 starter. That is what he will be.
  5. I took a double dose of Ron Jeremy Penis Enlargement pills. Since I am a pecker head my brain is working overtime.
  6. I think anyone who expects big things from ERod now or in the future is fooling themselves with wishful thinking. The kid is a f***ing hammerhead. He has a limited repertoire and no wipe out or put away pitch. He throws way to many pitches and can not go deep. He has what could be a career altering and maybe ending damaged knee that will always be a concern even after he gets the knife. Benny Boy gave up Miller for a young starter with upside. Three years later he has not pitched a good full season and appears to be more concerned with his haircut that his curve ball. He is a number 4 or 5 until this team jettisons his ass.
  7. It worked. I started to read the walls of text in defense of the "three year window - impending cliff" idea. Now I need to be excused as I need to evacuate my bowels.
  8. You don't know s*** old man. Shut the f*** up!!!! I had to. Great post.
  9. Neither has anyone made a "strong" case for the impending cliff. But feel free to post a few chapters for the umpteenth time to explain further.
  10. No need to leave this board to find rationalization of the stupid base running.
  11. Oh no. He is ranked by dWAR better than Gardner!!!
  12. That was a steal!!!!!
  13. Still, his contract is a bargain!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. I am offended with these words!
  15. The 0-fers will come. Let's see what people say then.
  16. They will stumble short of the cliff. The smart people here have said so.
  17. What did she say? If the Cubs are sincere they should give the guy a lifetime luxury suit seat.
  18. Hmmm. Boston sports fan feel differently from Sox fans, I guess. While I am at it, f*** Pittsburgh and Indianapolis as well.
  19. There was a legitimate reason for his drastic fall - off in production. This has all been explained by Johnny Neuron.
  20. When almost all the enjoyment that you derive from baseball is staring at a computer screen the forecast can seem forbidding. That is why I enjoy watching the games. I get to see and enjoy all the things about the game that stimulate my senses. The amateur draft is part of the randomness of the sport. I'm not losing any sleep.
  21. No no no. BEAT LA! BEAT LA! BEAT LA! f*** those pussies.
  22. Eck was into nose candy when with the Sox. He kicked that too, fortunately.
  23. I remember seeing him do this in Pawtucket and then in Boston. Of course we would not be talking about this if my Camry did not have good breaks.
