  1. Hmmm. Last night I made a point of watching the post game interview of Sale. He was honest and sincere. He was funny and self deprecating. He made no excuses for his s*** outing two starts ago. He simply stated that " I sucked and got my ass kicked". Jeez I hope such language does not offend the tender ears of some here on Talksox. Anyway, watching him last night it was hard to imagine he was the guy who pulled a nutty and cut those unis to shreds. I hardly see him as a cancer.
  2. Speaking of such things, Lenny DeNardo has been very, very good with his in-studio analysis. He is smart, knowledgeable, articulate, and is not a DB.
  3. Hmm. I don't think that any of them were great. But they are not exactly seasoned ( trained and experienced ) pros at color announcing, I think each one did a decent job. They all brought their considerable knowledge of the game each night. I kind of like the variety of voices, styles, and opinions of each. None of them made it difficult to enjoy the game as for an example, the Sunday Night ESPN twats. I think Gomes has the best potential to be very good. These are just my opinions and everyone has their own spin.
  4. That's it. Go get him old man!!!!!
  5. Nunez would be incommunicado half the time. Same with Hanley.
  6. I have assumed that Firefox has had incompatibility problems since my Facebook pages freeze up. But lately I can not just hit the back button to navigate to the NEW POST page. I have to hit the TOP button and then hit NEW POST. Probably not related to the problems others are experiencing but it is a little bit of a pain in the ass. Probably Firefox. I should switch over to Chrome I guess.
  7. Lol. We've been hacked by a Yankee board.
  8. So? Investing 10/275 on an organism that can have mechanical failures that diminish it's ability to perform is a bad investment. A prudent business person would not do this.
  9. Lol. We do live in a time when people shun science!
  10. Yup. It may not get it done but that is much closer to a reasonable offer than 10/275. You can justify anything with WAR or whatever. Eventually one needs to make prudent fiscal decisions.
  11. If I were an owner I would never rubber stamp a 10 year deal. That is just not sound business practice.
  12. I find all the Fister hate amusing.
  13. Agreed. As long as his arm is not unduly sore it was a positive outing. It is unrealistic to expect him to be over powering at this point. He needs work.
  14. I've criticized his left field play several times. He was pushed though the system because of his bat. He remains a work in process. In all phases of the game. I expect that he will be very good pretty soon.
  15. AHA! So I did not imagine it! Still, where did all my NyQuil go?
  16. I could swear that Sale pitched against the White Sox earlier this year and did not fare all that well. Maybe it was all that cough syrup I drank.
  17. No. No you don't need to. If people pay attention to what other posters say in their posts they should become familiar with that poster's style, perspective, and personality. When I read a post I commit to my mind how I believe that poster sees things. Moving forward, I am able to understand what they say readily. However when you are more concerned with making sure you are heard and that you have a response for everything I can see how understanding what someone else has said ( in context ) is not a high priority. Apparently it is an acceptable way to interface on message boards and social media.
  18. Another misplay of a ball off the wall by Benni. It was of no consequence but he needs to at better at this soon.
  19. He is looking more and more like Jeter every day. That's what he wants, right?
