  1. Oh wonderful. Let's be satisfied with mediocrity. This team can do better still.
  2. Why do you keep posting this? I did not look at those critical stats because I don't need to in order to form an opinion. I made reference to those stats because whenever anyone posts an observation that is not accompanied by supporting data it is immediately rebuked by people looking to prove that their unit is bigger. My statement is my opinion based on my observations, not an accumulated batch of numbers that may or may not reflect reality. I am surprised that no one has responded with stats that prove I am wrong such as when I made a comment that was rebuffed by the essential point of Benni being 3rd in dWAR right behind Gardner. Who f***ing cares where he ranks? My point was that he needed to get better at certain things. Which the all important defensive metrics reinforce!!! Hahahahahaha!11!
  3. Pound these pine striped twits.
  4. But he was not seen as the one piece to compensate for Ortiz leaving. I think we all saw that sweet swing and though we had another Betts or better. He has played well at all levels and is young. He is as close to a thoroughbred as anyone this team has had since Conigliaro. Unfortunately he is not a finished product. He will continue to adjust at the plate. Right now he seems to be making some bad guesses. He will catch up. The left field defense has not shown improvement from last year and in fact does not seem any better since the season started. He is a decent hack out there. "Oh but UZR and DRS say this and that!". Ah blow me. I see what I see. The idea of supplanting the lost production of Ortiz with Beni, Sale, and "Run Prevention" is not a failure. It just has not worked out very well. Of course for many of us this has come as no surprise.
  5. Those numbers are meaningless.
  6. Youk he seems to have been a member before since he knows who you and I are and thinks he knows some dirt on us. He has his facts mixed up but he does remember something he thinks he saw. Whatever.
  7. He also lost development time when he shot himself in the leg. And who says he sucks in the outfield?
  8. Amen. Good to see you post. Is there any fanfare in the DR associated with Devers and his promotion?
  9. He is reportedly only 5'4" - 5'5". Do I need to explain what an anomaly is?
  10. 91 MPH? He needs to get his strength and confidence back. I thought his virtue was being a hard thrower.
  11. I have my doubts that the Sox will remain this hot but I consider 5-5.5 "normal" production for the Sox. I am probably spoiled and or some one who is particularly well endowed will correct me with vital stats. We got a reminder two nights ago in the first Rays game that this team can be shut down at any time.
  12. Or Nunez. As uninspiring Bogey has been this year, going through the whole shortstop problem again would suck bigly. If he comes back to raking at least part of the remaining season I bet no one will be talking about trading him.
  13. Hey, don't shoot the messenger. It's just an idea and one that could very easily be in the minds of DD and company.
  14. Or they could keep Moreland for cheap.
  15. They clearly knew the Pats are on TV tomorrow night.
  16. Good stuff. Too bad Porcello was blemished by the two dingers. I thought he looked pretty good hitting his spots. Will we see a game anytime again this season without at least one base running blunder? Boggs was very good in the booth.
  17. Well Altuve is an anomaly.
  18. I am sure you understand the reference.
  19. Porcello getting it done so far.
  20. Moreland gets a tough rap on this board. He is what he is as a hitter and we should not expect him to morph into Ortiz. However, he sure seems to hit the ball very hard with regularity. Many times for outs.
  21. Boggs will now be called out by Judge Price.
  22. lulz. I still want to attend a game at the Trop. Just so I can experience it.
  23. Kimmi you are dead on about looking at Bogs. Last night he looked like a homeless man that someone had slapped a suit and tie on and given a mike to. It was almost uncomfortable to look at him. Now his enunciation was poor but he did say many insightful things. He did not suck. Just turn your back when he is on screen!
