  1. If you noticed, which you didn't because otherwise you wouldn't have posted, I was talking about solely the 2006 draft. Also, I was only counting talent that hit the majors, or at least pitched in the majors. Also, note that the Giants and Red Sox were tied for the best draft GPA while the Yankees were near the bottom. It seems that you're alone in this argument, as you think everyone that graced pinstripes is the second coming of Jesus. Seriously, is there anyone more delusional about the Yankees farm team than you are? When GOM bails on your a**, you know you're up a creek.
  2. Why are there so many teams anyway? Don't most leagues have like 12 people?
  3. To be honest, I think that "Ace" more describes the talent of the starter rather than the position in which they are starting. That way, I think that it is possible for team's to have multiple aces, regardless of the fact that there can only be one #1 starter.
  4. AJax hasn't even played in a game yet and Gardner might be the worst player on your team, which is only because Kennedy was the worst player on the team and got traded. How does one believe half of the crap you believe, let alone post? The Red Sox are miles ahead of the Yankees in drafting. If you want to debate IFA's, then that's fine. But even the most ignorant and stubborn Yankee fans can't debate drafting. You'd come out of the fight with a mushroom shaped bruise on your face.
  5. Don't forget that he also gets technicals. He might be leading the league again. And he's certainly not a good role model for Big Baby.
  6. I agree. Youk is one of the last few that I'd ever consider trading. My point was that every man has his price, and that nobody is untouchable for the right price.
  7. Just had my first fantasy baseball draft, not bad. I can't wait for the draft tomorrow.
  8. I agree, Epstein's smart enough to make anyone available at the right price.
  9. True, the Red Sox have been one of the best drafting teams and the Yankees have been towards the bottom, but the Yankees have been much better on the international prospect market than Boston has. Also the Yankees would have more prospects but they tend to trade them away (ie Vizcaino, Jackson, Tabata, Dunn, Kennedy etc)
  10. For the record, just because IFA (or International Free Agent) has the phrase "Free Agent" in it, does not mean that the players have come to the team and reached the same development as your typical Free Agents would. For example, it's one thing to not consider Javier Vasquez or CC Sabathia homegrown talent, but it's another to not consider Chien Ming Wang, Junichi Tazawa, Alfredo Aceves, or Jesus Montero homegrown. In other words, homegrown does not equal draft. Drafting is a part of homegrown talent, but IFA's are another aspect, so don't be fooled just because International Free Agent includes the words, "Free Agent".
  11. If Tennessee weren't a bunch of complete p****** and canceled the season series vs. Uconn for the past few years, then we'd have faced Tennessee a few times in the streak. I just wish that Tennessee was on the opposite side of the bracket so that they could face Uconn in the finals, but it'll likely be Uconn vs. Tennessee in the Final Four matchup. Winner will probably play Stanford for the championship.
  12. I agree completely. I am well aware that women's basketball is a shell of a sport compared to the men's thing. I'd trade all 6 of Uconn's women's titles for another men's title. I'm just saying that watching the school be so dominant and kick the crap out of everyone else outweighs my dislike towards women's basketball. To be honest, I've watched like 5 of the 74 straight wins.
  13. College football season is over, Uconn isn't notable for college baseball, and college soccer and lacrosse are below women's basketball. Besides, if Syracuse or Florida had a women's basketball team that was this dominant, are you saying that you wouldn't care at all?
  14. Followed by: Man-law tips from Alex Rodriguez.
  15. Followed by: Former Enron executives talk about business ethics.
  16. Msubulldogs, I'm sure that you don't care either, but #7 seed Mississippi State made the sweet 16 by upseting #2 Ohio State.
  17. Those whose men's teams are sucking a** right now. This is all that a Uconn fan has right now. Although straight up dominance of biblical proportions isn't a bad fall-back option either.
  18. Uconn women up 55-12 at halftime over #8 seeded Temple. Seriously?
  19. Idk Dipre, Barry Zito is a model, and I don't think we want that face on our team anytime soon.
  20. I've been saying this for a while. I think the Yanks made the absolute right call here. My Yankee friends at home can take it to the bank.
  21. Plus, with the Yankees offense, they don't need 5 quality starters. Sure Javy will get hit around in that stadium, but as long as he puts up near league average numbers then he should accumulate a lot of wins.
