    Whatever, it's not like the Kentucky players won't make enough in the NBA to forget about their one year in college. As much as I'm happy that Kentucky is eliminated, I'm pissed that Duke is the one #1 remaining. As long as they don't win the title, then I'll be happy. Did anyone else have Duke as the first #1 seed eliminated?

    I love Pal Maholm as well. I was also a big Tom Gorzelanny fan, but that's because I'm also a lefty and I saw him single handedly beat the Yankees at least once, maybe twice.

    I agree with Gom. It's not like we need to get psyched up for opening day, or Sox/Yankees, so by combining the two there isn't any more excitement created. In other words, I'd be just as excited for Opening day vs. the Guardians as I would be at Opening day vs. the Yankees.

    Before the Phillies won the title I liked them because I have a bunch of family from Philadelphia. Then when they won their fans were so obnoxious that I switched to the Mets. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

    Interestingly enough, the last 4 people to join the site (all today) have either immediately commented on this thread or have a screen name dedicated to Mark Bellhorn. Either we're being invaded by a bunch of no-life high school trolls, or we're being infested by a bunch of no-life high school Mark Bellhorn fans.

    Is there an innings limit for pitchers? It doesn't look like there is, but I just wanted to make sure. There's a maximum of 12 starts I think.

    I do think that Lowell has been classy in this situation. Far classier than Manny Ramirez or Nomar, and to be honest, I'd probably have the middle finger's up if everyone kept actively trying to trade me after I was the WS MVP. Granted, baseball is a business as much as it is a game, but there's a difference between looking for offers and getting rid of the guy as if he were the plague.
