  1. Look, if you really think that your opinion is important (which it isn't to me) then you can post an explanation as to why you think Y228 would win, and you can message it to him. I wouldn't waste my time reading it because it'll be the same thing that's been said in the past threads. You can waste your time doing it, but I'm not going to waste my time reading it. I'm not sure what else you could want, you guys got the chance to vote, and the team you wanted to win, did win. If the only thing that was missing was your half baked attempt at justifying it, then you can copy and paste the crap you've put in the previous round threads and repost it here for all I care. Is there anything else that you and YH are upset about? I'm only asking you because I don't need to ask YH directly since I can always get his opinion directly from you.
  2. I missed a lot of this because I was at a job interview, and I'm quite happy that I did miss it because because I would have been very pissed at the ignorance and incorrect statements that have been made concerning me in the time I was absent. Rather than going on a typical "Ital guns blaze" rampage that has defined me in the past and that would result in a ban, I'm going to try to handle the situation more responsibly, despite the inate desire to repeatedly take a baseball bat to my computer. The reason why I "conceded" despite not officially conceding is because I wanted to get the baseball draft going and because of all of the animosity and personal comments being thrown around in one of the semi finals. I did have my fair share of responsibility in it, but it was largely between you (Kilo), Y228 and myself, with a little bit of Yankshater thrown in. Not to mention that very few people actually vote anyway, and with only Y228 and myself left in it (and we can't vote in the finals) that meant that YH and Kilo would likely be the only 2 voting. Following that trend, you guys have voted against my team for the ENTIRE tournament. I'll keep my feelings about those decisions to myself, but the fact is, it was OBVIOUS who you 2 were going to vote for. It was obvious that Y228 was going to win, and I don't think that I need to point out that I was RIGHT the entire time. I didn't "concede" because I didn't think my team wasn't worthy. I like my team more than any of the other teams and I think it clearly deserved a spot in the finals. But I knew that I was going to be pissed off when people went in the thread and said some of the same hackneyed arguments as to why my team would lose even thought I addressed many of them in previous threads, and it wasn't worth the time and the effort of putting through a large analysis or game plan if you guys were going to vote against my team anyway. It wasn't worth my time. I figured that instead of continuing a lot of animosity from the last semifinal that would have gotten brought up again here, I'd do the noble thing and "let" Y228 win. When Y228 wanted to let the voters decide, I said go for it and I let him have it his way. Besides, I didn't need an explanation from you or YH because I knew exactly what you 2 were going to say anyway, so it would have been a waste of all of our time. You guys had your say, you guys got to vote, your "guy" won in the end. If anything, I should be the only one that's pissed off right now, not any of you guys. I think after editing this a few times I was able to take all of the swears out, so it more or less accurately depicts my frustrations while allowing me to go play Grand Theft Auto to take out the rest of my aggression towards the pretentious garbage consistently spewed in my absence. Have a nice life Kilo, I won't miss you in any of the future redrafts.
  3. Good job Y228, you deserve to win this. While I hate losing at anything, I don't mind losing to a team like yours. Besides, out of 15 teams I think this is a good enough finish anyway, so I'm not too worried. Oh well, on to the baseball redraft now!!
  4. Fair enough, I think that prospect handbooks come out not too long from now which will give in depth rankings.
  5. I just meant that the Yankees weren't highly ranked at the beginning of the year (the Red Sox and Yankees were in the middle of the pack with the Red Sox a few spots higher than the Yankees) and I knew that the Red Sox had a really good 2010 draft (albeit trading key prospects to San Diego) but the Yankees didn't have that same great draft, nor did they trade any of their players away for prospects (they usually do the opposite). So I'm wondering how they could have risen towards the top in the past year.
  6. I had just asked one of my Yankee fan friends (who is generally objective with this kind of stuff) and he said that he'd put the Yankees system around 5th or 6th, so I guess the Yankees might have a good farm system now. Go figure.
  7. Jacko, random question. Ballparking it, where would you currently rank the Yankees farm system among all farm systems?
  8. I think that Werth would have been a better fit with the Sox this year, but Crawford would be better for the Red Sox for all of the other years. Not only would we have a lot of money freed up (or reallocated) after this year, but with Ortiz and Drew gone we'd no longer be drastically left handed in our lineup. I think that Theo did a very good job thinking about the long term benefit of the team. I wonder if Crawford's benefit to the team would increase if we put him in RF and put Drew in LF. Crawford's defense would be more useful and we might be able to keep Drew healthier. Just a random (probably useless) thought.
  9. Charlie Morton for Cy Young.
  10. You could win the WS with a little league lineup with that rotation.
  11. I figure he'd start off at the bottom until he catches a hot streak and then he'd go right to the top.
  12. The Brewers would have a pretty good rotation if the trade worked out and they kept Gallardo and Marcum.
  13. Does that say that the Yankees have the 5th best farm system? I bet that the Yankees would have the 5th highest payroll before they have the 5th best farm system.
  14. Don't a lot of athletes have accountants that handle their cash flow? I'm sure that most athletes are horrible with their money, but you'd think that a lot of them would have someone on their "entourage" that could handle a budget and checkbook.
  15. Looks like both guys have bad contracts and can benefit from a change of scenery. I'm not sure who'd get the better end of the deal. Talk about completely shaking up the Magic organisation.
  16. If Joe Morgan and Buck/Mccarver can have a job, then Kerry Wood should be fine. He'd be like a god to the Chicago Cubs. (Outside of Harry Caray of course)
  17. I'd want to make sure that we have a lot of teams before we get started. I'm hoping for at least 10 teams at a minimum with a goal of 15-16 teams. It looks like we're at 9 spots.
  18. Thanks guys for keeping it short and sweet. I do appreciate it. Your team's looking pretty good Y228, and I'm fine with losing to a team of your caliber.
  19. That said, I would LOVE to watch my offense face off against your defense.
  20. You may have the better team, but I have the better team name.
