  1. Ytrb is up, I thought that Pujols had a different salary, I'm going to look that up real quick.
  2. That's a good pick Forsyth. I had 2 of those 4 options on my (first round) list, and I would have taken them both if they made it to me.
  3. I'll be here. Just message me your ideal pick and maybe 1-2 backups. I'll make your pick once it's your turn (unless your still online) and we can move that much faster. I hope more people do this in the event that they aren't online for an extended period of time.
  4. Haha, and one doesn't have to go back at all to find an instance of me being wrong, because I'm never wrong at all.
  5. The draft is often like this. Granted, the first few rounds seem to be very quick. But for every day we'd get through 10-15 picks, there'd be a day where we only get 2-3 picks in. That's just how it is sometimes. I'm positive that other days will be faster, as a lot of these participants are regulars (and regular redraft players) that are usually on here. Plus, most of them know that if they aren't on here, they can send me their pick and I'll post it for them, in case they aren't online and their pick comes up. I'm confident that if Divinity doesn't make his pick by 4pm, that a bunch of picks will be made henceforth. Talksox is also a lot more active in the evening (after school/work) so a lot more picks are made in the afternoon and evening than they are in the morning.
  6. Divinity, don't make Dipre and I go down to Jersey and make your pick for you. If you don't make your pick by 4pm (it'll be Ytrb's turn) and I'm going to make you pick Julio Lugo. Yes, I did realise that I broke my rule of not mentioning players that haven't been drafted, but I felt that this was an ok exception to stick it to Divinity for taking forever to pick.
  7. Did Divinity seriously not make his pick yet? Cmon man. In the early rounds we should be ripping through picks. I should have made the window for the first few rounds at say, 30 minutes.
  8. Given everything that's been said (most of it between Dipre and I on facebook) we figure that the 40 man roster seems to solve everything. It makes an even number of rounds, and it protects rosters from injury. The only issue is making sure to maintain interest in the draft. Most of us are regular members here and should stick with it regardless. I'm only worried about a few members keeping with this, but as long as we don't make this like a previous baseball redraft where people lost interest, then I think that we will be fine. We'd also have to adjust the salary cap figure, but we will work on that and adjust accordingly. I'd like to hear from some other people as well, so they can chime in in the morning.
  9. I was discussing this with Dipre and we had a bit of a debate about a potential problem. We were discussing what would happen if/when people get injured. I figured that we'd look at career numbers or recent season numbers in determining who has the best season. At least not counting injuries against people if the players were healthy when drafted. Dipre proposed that we have the people pick up someone off of the "waiver wire" in the event of a significant injury. I'm personally not a fan of it because it could mean the difference between having a star player and replacing him with a player who wasn't good enough to get drafted. Another idea is having a 40 man roster. This would protect teams from injuries, but it would also make the draft really long. I'm ok with this, and it'd also solve our "odd number of rounds" problem, but this would need to have been brought up in the event that people would still be interested in this. I'd want to make sure that we finish this thing. We've been able to finish every redraft that I've been a part of at least. That said, if we did this option, we'd have to extend the salary cap by a lot, but we'd factor that in. Does anyone have any thoughts on the matter?
  10. Now that I think about it (thanks to Exman for the tip) can a moderator move this thread to the "General Baseball Forum" rather than the "Other Sports" section? I was used to the NFL and NBA redrafts being in the "Other Sports" section.
  11. Don't forget me too. You once sent me into a psychotic rage that got me banned for a week once last year.
  12. I hope that the Rangers now go and sign Beltre. Git R Dun!
  13. Btw, even though the draft has started, people can still trade draft slots (as long as the people who move around haven't made their 1st round pick)
  14. Perhaps, I don't think you'd pick the same player that I was going for.
  15. I propose that we skip everyone and just make it my turn. Haha.
  16. In other words, I'm not holding it against Divinity if he doesn't come online now and notice that we started early, so if he isn't online, he'd be skipped at the normal timeframe from when we should have started on Monday morning. However, if he's online now or comes online tonight, then we have a shot at getting a slight headstart to this thing.
  17. No, that's not what I'm saying. He can make his pick NOW, but we won't start the clock AGAINST HIM until 8am Monday. Meaning that he can make his pick now. If we started the clock now, he'd have until 10:15 am to make his pick. So Divinity's clock, or 8 hour window, won't start until Monday morning, even though he can pick now. Get it now?
  18. I got the chart working. If Divinity wants to make his pick (or is online) he can make his pick now, but we won't start the clock for him until 8am Monday. So we won't skip Divinity until 4pm on Monday.
  19. Dipre is trying to get the chart that Kilo made in this thread so we can update it and use it for our redraft thread. Dipre is in the process of copying it over.
  20. I didn't know that this many people participated in this. I wonder why so many didn't want to reup and to this particular draft with some new blood.
  21. Was this the thread Dipre?
  22. Once we get the chart thing figured out, I'll keep tabs on it. Don't worry about it not being updated. Dipre and I are working on getting it started, it should be easy to maintain from there.
  23. I'm just bumping this up to Dipre can help me with the chart.
