  1. He should go to the Heat.
  2. I was flipping back and forth between that and Katt Williams stand up, so I only saw bits and pieces of it while Katt Williams was on commercial. I also think that all of the events (including the All Star game) are a waste.
  3. I think this might be one of the first times in which we're all virtually in agreement about something. I think that everyone here agrees that Blake Griffin shouldn't have won, that it was rigged for marketing purposes, and that a lot of the fans that voted were stupid. Then again, for all I know, there might not have been an actual fan vote, or that the fan vote wouldn't have counted anyway as Blake Griffin would have been the winner regardless.
  4. In addition to WhiskeyBreath's point, not only do you have to be on the field to steal bases, but you also have to be consistently getting on base as well. I'd say that Crawford has the advantage this year.
  5. I agree with everything you said, except that I'd have done DeRozan vs. McGee.
  6. For his ERA and WHIP not to suck or for him not to cost so damn much doing it. Edit: And if he could not look like a horse either I'd appreciate it.
  7. Perhaps, but you could have a 4.50 ERA and throw a QS every single time. Lackey threw some of the worst Quality Starts I've ever seen, that's for sure.
  8. I understand your point in principle, and I generally agree with you, but I don't believe that it falls "squarely" on the shoulders of Beckett and Lackey. I mean alot of our bullpen sucked on its own, regardless of who the starter was. I mean when a reliever serves up a 400 foot bomb, that really isn't on the starting pitcher. It's not like the relievers ability to get batters out is different. Sure, our bullpen was overused, and our bullpen sucked, and Beckett and Lackey weren't very good either, but that doesn't mean that all 3 are directly correlated and direct causes of one another. I mean sure, I agree with you that Beckett and Lackey are somewhat to blame for bullpen struggles (as would Dice-K in all of his 5+ inning starts) but at the same time, you have to blame the bullpens themselves (as well as management) for sucking so bad. I doubt that last years bullpen could perform with a good starter, let alone a bad one. If having a few bad (or underperforming) starters is enough to derail our bullpen, then we should stop using such inconsistent relievers and get ones that perform well even with bad starters.
  9. Blake Griffin winning the Dunk Contest was about as bad as Justin Bieber winning the Celebrity Game MVP.
  10. I certainly won't argue that McGee should have won, nor will I argue that Blake Griffin got a lot of help from the officials EVEN to make it to the finals, but it's not like Ibaka was doing something even remotely original. Even if he was one of the first to do it legitimately, I wouldn't necessarily put it ahead of ALL of Blake Griffin's dunks. I'm sure there will be some people that disagree, but even then that's a very minor point to argue over. And even if one were to do so, I'd still have put Ibaka last of the 4 contenders anyway.
  11. I partially agree. I mean I wasn't high on Ibaka, nor his first dunk, and I clearly think that he was the worst of the 4, but I think that Griffin shouldn't have even made the finals and it should have been McGee vs. DeRozan.
  12. I think that McGee went safe since he knew he had it in the bag. That said, if the Celebrity All Star Game MVP award was any indication, watch Justin Bieber win the Slam Dunk Contest.
  13. That could have been much better. Had Blake made the dunk he was going to do in the 2nd round (off the side) then that might have been the dunk of the contest, but this contest is McGee's to lose.
  14. Is this serious?
  15. If he did a 360 lob on that then I think it would have been Game Over and McGee could have taken the round off. That said, Griffin is obviously getting favored by the refs. His dunks are very good, but not championship caliber.
  16. True, but regardless of the score I think he belongs in between Ibaka and Derozan at this point.
  17. Then again neither of them actually took off from the FT line.
  18. When they showed Barry I thought he was a 3 point champion, not a dunk champion. That would surprise me more than anything that happens in this dunk competition.
  19. So much for that, both Celtics lose in the final round of the 3 pt competition to James Jones, with Paul Pierce in 2nd and Ray Allen in 3rd.
  20. When does it start?
  21. Up yours Keeper.
  22. I also don't think that people were nearly as quick to defend Gallo, the guy whose drinking and driving resulted in the death of Nick Adenhart. I guess that when the athlete is on the other side of the equation, it's viewed differently. To make it clear, I'm not attacking anyone here, I just think that whenever an athlete or celebrity is involved (or whatever you call Lindsey Lohan), that a different set of laws, regulations, and punishments apply.
  23. I have a feeling that if someone got hurt/killed because of Miguel Cabrera's DUI, I think that a lot of people will feel differently about it.
  24. He could be part of the base stealing lineup.
