    And THAT right there is why you sign Papelbon long term.. when it counts..there is nobody better and he has a perfect post-season resume to back him up. He is much like Rivera...basically one pitch and they still cannot hit him when it counts...it is that extra hop up in the zone that NOBODY...not even the GREAT Yankees can lay off of when the money is on the line. He is the f***ING MAN! Strictly stuff-wise...Bard may eclipse Papelbon.... but there is nobody in baseball I would rather have in there when you HAVE to have an out.

    I'll be glad when he has a shoulder problem like Webb and somebody else is stuck with a $100 million tag.. That being said.. Theo will probably grab him this winter. Of course we would love Halladay..but don't sleep on Clay...he showed some juevos Saturday against a great lineup.. Drew sez screw you..I do it myself!

    Manny "Garbage Time" DelCarmen blows it again.. This guy never gets big outs.. he is Derek Lowe..before Lowe got rid of the "deer in the headlights" look. He is useless in tight games.

    Don't want Young either. I would like them to try and get Ianetta from the Rockies or maybe Baker from the Marlins. Ianetta has excellent power and his AWAY numbers mirror his Coors numbers...they were almost identical last year. Baker makes the most sense. We could use him in a platoon with Tek. Let them go like 60(Tek) 40(Baker)...with Tek facing all LHP... We could get Baker rather cheaply IMO. He is 28/29 so Ianetta at 24 and already an accomplished slugger would cost quite a bit more...IF COL is even willing to trade him.

    I have been hearing the Sox have made inquiries regarding Michael Young and that Texas is interested in Brad Penny and a prospect..believed to be Michael Bowden. If this happens..does Lugo go back to being a $9 mill benchwarmer?

    No f*** ORTIZ.. He is f***ing worthless.. He Lugo and Pedroia have 10 hits combined in front of him...and he cannot even come through 1 f***ing time in 7 AB's..f*** him.. I hope Theo is looking for a replacement.

    I remember arguing with you in the offseason and you had the audacity to say the Yankees pen was better than the Sox! HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHH! Just one of the many examples of your idiocy. Not only is the Sox pen bettter...the Sox have one of, if not the best Pens in baseball...while the Yankees statistically, are on of the worst. I know we are only 5 weeks into the season, but I like the way this has started. Yankee fans at nyyfans.com are shouting "Wait till Arod gets back",,lol.. Their offense is not the problem.. YES he will make the Yankees better, but they will still be inferior to the Red Sox and Tampa... they just don't have the bullpen to be considered a Championship-caliber team. The Red Sox have gotten ZERO from Papi/Smoltz/Dice-K and s***** first months from their 2 best starters Beckett and Lester and are still 17-10 with a 5-0 record vs. the Yankees... Things are looking pretty bleak for the Yankees... For all of the talk and pre-season hype...the Yankees, so far, are proving what most objective baseball fans have known since 2004..the Red Sox are just flat-out better.

    I am so sick of seeing him come up and flick the bat at the ball...he isn't driving anything.. We have a #3 hitter with a .643 OPS... .350 SLG%.... That was before tonight's pathetic performance. How much longer are Tito and Theo going to let him clog up the middle of the lineup>? We will not win the World Series with "The Corpse" of David Ortiz hitting in the 3 spot.

    Ortiz is a waste. When are they going to move him down... He is absolutely worthless right now.. His OPS is pathetic... NO HR's in a month? He is TOAST and the Sox better seriously think about replacing him... this year. He is an offensive abyss. Get him the F out of there.. He should sit for a few days.. Bard...Clay..Anderson.. get us a legit #3 hitter.

    I love Carlos Guillen...but between him/Drew/and Baldelli....there would be too many nights we would have to play with a 23 man roster... Guillen is always missing games here and there.
