  1. Depending on the status of the younger guys, maybe it would be prudent to let him go?
  2. Bassitt has been ok. He's 34 and trending in the wrong direction (velo, whif, spin, FIP). He's a good pitcher, but I can see why teams didn't want to sign him with the QO attached.
  3. If he mashes in the next two years, he has a player opt out after '25. The team then could use that club option to keep him through '28.
  4. Loading up on fringy moves keeps them out of playoff contention.
  5. Better than Story? For COL, he played in over 90% of eligible MLB games after being called up.
  6. A guy who is only healthy for half of every season?
  7. They were done a few weeks ago. He’s hust trying to save face.
  8. Just sayin’. Can’t say how it would have worked out.
  9. Very easy to pick the right guy with hindsight.
  10. I agree. Why isn’t he in CF for every pitch? Maybe they aren’t overexposing him and are thinking of trading him this offseason?
  11. ARod was a great defender and put up monster numbers. Maybe they win 4 titles with ARod?
  12. He’s not a cancer. He’s just 80% the player he could be.
  13. No chance do they sign Yamamoto AND Snell or Nola. No f***ing way.
  14. Yorke needs time in AAA. He’s maybe a late ‘24 call up.
  15. Wong would be a fine backup.
  16. If you can get an ace, why wouldn’t you consider trading Mayer?
  17. The smoke is that they even have reported interest in looking elsewhere.
  18. Stearns is going to the Mets. They should find a new guy now and not wait until Nov.
  19. He’s not very aggressive in the offseason either.
  20. We have enough 3 inning guys to fill the roster. We need legitimate starters and Houck has trade value. Houck is not significantly better than Murphy/Winck/Whitlock/Crawford. He’s expendable.
  21. I was hopeful that Whitlock could be a 3 because of his pitch mix, but his body just can’t do the wear and tear of starting. He’s relief only going forward IMO. If they yoyo him back to the rotation it’s a mistake.
  22. You can be disgusted without having to put other posters down.
  23. Houck was a known issue for a while but a lot of posters on here still wanted to roll him out there. I see him as trade bait.
  24. Lots of 4 inning starters on this team.
  25. Very bad move. Didn’t make sense to anyone.
