  1. This was mentioned yesterday, but I don't think discussions were very serious. He may be a fallback plan.
  2. @BOSSportsGordo The Red Sox are “very heavily involved” in the Yoshinobu Yamamoto sweepstakes, @jonmorosi said on @MLBNetwork today. If he winds up elsewhere and the contract is under 300M, it'll be pitchfork time....
  3. Snell and Montgomery will sign after to hope their $$$ goes up.
  4. Toronto. Rumor is that there is a private jet flying from Anaheim to Toronto and Kikuchi has rented out an upscale sushi restaurant near the stadium this evening.
  5. Ok, so trade him straight up for Cutter Coffey if drafting position means something to the fans?
  6. Well I don't want India either, Jeez...
  7. I guess we should just hang it up and never expect to win another WS then...
  8. They would wait until Gelof's ARB years are over before dealing him. They will start potentially playing in the Vegas AAA stadium in '25 so it would make sense for them to have a high profile player to showcase.
  9. DRS is a counting stat. If you extrapolated Player be to 119 Games: -14.5 DRS.
  10. Is that indicative of all East Coast teams then?
  11. Yes, Yamamoto PLUS!
  12. I try not to dabble in psychotherapy.
  13. Regardless, I don't think there's a fit for him here.
  14. His contract was a 3 year deal though. That's not a large battle with Mr Time.
  15. It's the offseason. I'm not squinting. I'd be a believer.
  16. It didn't work when he re-signed Raffy.
  17. ERod was potentially a candidate, but Breslow said they preferred to wait for Imanaga and Yamamoto rather than jump on ERod. Fine. Gray was the only name that was a potential miss. Nola wasn't leaving PHI.
  18. They'd be better, but it's not the FULL THROTTLE competing for a World Series trajectory that Werner and Wormtongue were talking about a few weeks ago. I don't think they are going to be WS contenders this year whatsoever, but this should be an offseason to get them on track. These aren't the moves that get them on track IMO. These are 2022 starting rotation type moves.
  19. So they COULD, they just don't might not WANT to? If that's they case they'd never be serious FA players again.
  20. If his hit tool was better, he'd be the 2B. If his arm was better, he could be a SS somewhere. I don't think he could be a starting SS for ANY MLB team.
  21. Why can't they? Yanks have some pretty large contracts on the books right now.
  22. Is he ambidextrous?
  23. If we are adding Maeda to the conversation, I guess we need to add Gibson too.
