I actually think his defense is ok. He's not a SS, but he's good enough to fake it at 2b/3b in the bigs as a UTIL type guy. His power is on par with Marty Barrett but with more walks. Just not enough doubles to really keep him super relevant. He'll get on base, but isn't a speed guy.
Also, a lot of expected growing pains with Anderson as he should be a Lowell guy.
April 375 OPS
May 528 OPS
June 687 OPS
July 733 OPS
It's a similar trajectory to what we saw out of HS draftee Cutter Coffey in his first full season last year. Sometimes these HS guys can jump like Roman Anthony, sometimes they need an extra few years to get there.
Riemer is not being challenged at all in the Complex League. I'd probably send him straight to GRE and have him take the fulltime 2B job from Ravelo when the FCL season ends in the next few days.
Not to worry. Cora isn't worried about the 4 game skid.
@JonesandMego
More from Cora "A lot of people are talking about the four game losing streak. I don't think that is a reflection of who we are. We have a pretty good team and the conversations are about how we can be better. Not only now but in the near future. It's been good"

Amongst all the players at the Double-A level who have played at least 35 games, Red Sox prospect Kristian Campbell leads the league in average (.395), OBP (.497), WOBA (.470), and is third in OPS (1.094).
His fastball is only 90 mph. Has not been able to build up any velo. The worry is that even with his good control, that he'll get hit around when he reaches AA/AAA.

I saw a guy walking his dog the other day that was wearing a Sox Sandoval shirsey. I was like "who's # 48?" Then I got close enough to read the name. I wanted to pull the car over and talk to him.
