  1. 5 tool guy with upside. He's probably going to go level to level and it will take time.
  2. Not saying he's injury prone, but that this particular injury was bad enough that he had to take a significantly longer time to rehab than expected. This may impact his overall ceiling going forward.
  3. Zanetello made his season debut last night going 1-4.
  4. Dalbec isn't a great 1B. Reyes isn't a great 3B. Dalbec is an adequate 3B. I can't evaluate Reyes at 1B.
  5. While he's only 32, he last played Indy ball in 2022 and has done zip since.
  6. Cron hasn't caught on anywhere. No real Spring Training. Would probably need a few weeks in AAA to get up to speed.
  7. Not if you're comparing this April vs previous Aprils.
  8. Jordan has struggled this year, but his k rate is down. He has a really low BABIP, but is also not consistently making great contact and doesn't pull the ball as much as he should.
  9. The only concern with me for Riemer is that this injury has taken him a loooong time to get over. He should have been ready to start the year from what I read. He has a Meidrothy bat, but may be a better defender. We just have enough guys that are perpetually injured that we put into our plans.
  10. I mean, they just extended Rafaela for 8 years and he can't hit a lick. If they went year to year with him, they'd most likely pay him less. There's a whole bunch of ways to waste money.
  11. Stop being negative all the time!
  12. 1. Ceddanne Rafaela SS 2. Jarren Duran CF 3. Tyler O’Neill DH 4. Wilyer Abreu LF 5. Rob Refsnyder RF 6. Enmanuel Valdez 2B 7. Connor Wong C 8. Bobby Dalbec 1B 9. Pablo Reyes 3B No Devers. Masa still sitting in detention.
  13. Garrett Cooper DFA'd. 1B option?
  14. I want to make it to the postseason 100% of the time.
  15. The IF doesn't matter. Beane couldn't do it. Sox have NEVER done it with a low payroll. Why have a low payroll if you have the means to spend?!?!?
  16. The 20 day rule is in regards to player consent. The player can consent to a longer rehab. With Grissom, they could just option him to AAA and have him start the year there anyway.
  17. 4/12 was his first WOO appearance. He'd possibly come up May 1.
  18. @ByAndrewParker Source: Red Sox lefty Joe Jacques has been claimed by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
  19. That's a big IF. Henry is a big fanboy of Billy Beane and he was never able to reach the Promised Land.
  20. Just put the period after the third word and move on IMO.
  21. Weird that the Giants let him go in the first place.
  22. I was predicting back to back to back to back... 2019 didn't work out. When the Sox point the bow in the right direction, I'll be a little more positive. The pitching has looked better over the short term. It's still built on arms that haven't had INNINGS. My worry is that we continue to see injuries or that the early success trail off significantly.
  23. 5 games, 2 starts at 2B aren't quite enough of a rehab. Vaughn Grissom on his rehab in Worcester: “I want to play as many games as I want, and so I just want to be able to be ready, really ready, when I go out there.” “I feel like [my timing] is right where everyone’s was in the first week of spring training,” Grissom said. “My leg is feeling great, but I’ve just got to get some more at-bats. It’s just one of those sports where repetition is the only way to get the feel of the game, so I’m just playing it day by day.” Grissom’s rehab is expected to take the full 20 days; the Red Sox want him back at 100% for when he takes over as their full-time second baseman.
  24. @ByAndrewParker Red Sox minor league injury update: Spoke with 2023 4th round pick Justin Riemer in regards to when he will be making his Red Sox org debut in 2024. He is aiming to be playing in games in the FCL before the All Star break in early July. Riemer tore his ACL on March 11, 2023.
  25. Breslow, though I did see someone posit that they Sox were talking to Bailey before they were done with Breslow. I think the two were really done in tandem.
