  1. Stanton back to the IL with hammy. Home sweet home for him.
  2. Jays top hitting prospect Orelvis Martinez was suspended for 80 games (PED) 48 hours after making his MLB debut.
  3. They are paying Bello 9 AAV PRE ARB!!!! Christopher Sanchez just signed an extension for 4/22.5 (two option years after). They aren't the same pitcher, but that's what a reasonable extension looks. I liked the idea of extending Bello and Rafaela, but it was too much money for a team that is overly mindful of its budget.
  4. Pivetta since coming back from the IL:. 9 GS (3 QS) 46.2 IP 4.82 ERA 4.92 FIP 791 OPS He has not been good and would not fetch much of a return.
  5. Fastball/Slider guy. Most likely back end or bullpen guy.
  6. Not sure if the hype got to him. They've also changed his pitch mix. It's fine for us to not appropriate grade him, but a big miss for the Sox and his extension IMO.
  7. On Giolito, there is a 14M club option for 2026 if he pitches under 140 innings next season and a mutual 19M option if he pitches over.
  8. 2 prospects for O'Neilll? A team would have to be pretty hard up for him. Also, the Sox really enjoy having his bat in the lineup. Jansen and Martin combined have a much higher trade value than O'Neilll IMO, Pivetta too.
  9. CIN is the best MLB park for LHB to hit dingers. Maybe he can get going here?
  10. Half of a year of Alonso should be reasonable. Aside from Sandlin, I don't think I'd give up a top 10 prospect in a trade for him.
  11. For a 4th starter? Sure.
  12. Platooning them already???
  13. I want a full 26 man roster turnover every 12 months with this current squad, but will settle for Bello wearing a different uniform next season.
  14. I can't imagine Wikelman's value is still that high after this year.
  15. Dude is lapping each and everyone of us every year.
  16. From his scouting report: Needs to improve pitch recognition, especially against breaking balls. Some questions about how his contact skills will translate against more advanced pitching. It's not a surprise that he's now struggling with a split. GRE 23: 37.5 k% vs LHP, 20.0 k% vs RHP SAL 22: 34.8 k% vs LHP, 23.9 k% vs RHP
  17. I'd keep him down in Greenville for a while. He hasn't had any success while being in the organization. Let him enjoy it for away and get his confidence back before he has to take the next jump. Going to AA is arguably the toughest leap in MiLB.
  18. The 14 exclamation points were a dead giveaway IMO.
  19. I know. It's a bad idea. Catchers need rest days. Wong is more productive because he can sit on the bench.
  20. Real baseball died the day the high five was created. Can't even take a family to see a kids game anymore!
  21. Buddy have I got some bad news for you. According to the National Weather Service, the summer solstice will occur on Thursday at 4:51 p.m. Eastern time. We had a work happy hour to celebrate it.
  22. Wong should be a 162 guy. If he's not catching, he should be at DH or 2b!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Maybe? We'll have to see how he's worked into the lineup going forward.
