  1. @SoxProspects In a minor transaction, the FCL Red Sox added infielder Jancel Santana from the DSL today. The move is a little more significant, though, because the domestic reserve list is now full at 165, albeit with Luis Perales and Angel Bastardo candidates for the long-term IL. Corresponding move is probably Cespedes to Salem.
  2. They can have Bryan Mata too.
  3. I see, I was getting confused by your pronouns.
  4. Even if he threw a complete game in each start for two straight months, he wouldn't get to 100 innings.
  5. That list also had the Royals above the Twins for some unknown reason.
  6. Will Leitch hates the Red Sox because he's a Cards fan. Power Rankings are silly anyway.
  7. Pivetta is going to throw 100+ innings in 2 months? How?
  8. Again, this thread was "if you were Breslow, who would you trade FOR?" Now that the Sox are actually in the Wild Card lead, you want to talk about them trading Pivetta. Why?
  9. Criswell was ok? The trades at the deadline are usually prohibitively expensive. I think they could get a good RHB and maybe a SS that can actually field the position. Maybe they grab a long reliever that is an upgrade over Chase Andersen?
  10. Joe Kelly was the 2018 weird guy. Not a lot of weirdness with that bunch though.
  11. Pedro was weirder than Millar. I don't think Pap is a weird guy, just comes across like a high school bully.
  12. That guy has it all since he's expensive and even hates baseball!!! *insert wolf with tongue out and bulging eyes*
  13. I'm not sure home W/L % plays a part in it. Most fans aren't paying attention to that.
  14. Casas can stay because he's a weirdo. Every good team needs a weird guy.
  15. Expensive guys playing poorly is my kink.
  16. Hard to say for sure as there isn't any specific data tracking it. It definitely seems like there is more of a visiting fanbase at Fenway now. Local crowd seems a lot quieter too.
  17. Last year, they really didn't deserve to buy. We'll see if they are in better position this season. The pitching is in much better shape at the moment, that's for sure.
  18. What's a higher need than SP?
  19. They don't have less names than last year though? They are still 5th of 15 in the AL. Attendance being down less than 800 people a game isn't that surprising coming off back to back 78 wins seasons and a team that was looking like .500 at best. About the same attendance as 2022 when they still had Xander and some other stars.
  20. I get it. It's just the market value for what he does.
  21. You know nothing of my parenting skills. Actually, I'm pretty sure you all have a good idea.
  22. And the Sox will be IN the playoff hunt and will be OUT on trading a guy like Pivetta. They don't have internal options to replace him at the moment.
  23. I'd go year to year with a lot of pitchers, especially Kutter. He doesn't have the juice IMO.
  24. Maybe not Duran as there was always a question about his bat, but Houck was at least an MLB caliber arm. They could have figured a reasonable amount for him.
