  1. That audit didn't do spit. 😪
  2. Kwiatkowski and Bryan Gonzalez in the MiLB portion.
  3. You really need to stop getting crucified so often!
  4. Happy Rule 5 Draft Day to all who celebrate. 2PM
  5. I have no idea what his stuff looks like after TJS, so no.
  6. According to McAdam, manager Alex Cora and team president Sam Kennedy are more keen on a Bregman pursuit than Breslow happens to be. Well, I agree with Breslow on this one. Wonder if the problem is the continued issue of too many cooks in the kitchen?
  7. I would say that nobody is untouchable, but there are very few trades that would be worthwhile to move Anthony or Campbell. The players that would need to be given up are unlikely to be moved by the other teams either. How often do you see a Mookie Betts for Aaron Judge trade or whatever?
  8. They have struggled to understand the "market" ever since the dumb "no pitchers over 30" nonsense.
  9. Whatever gets people through the day.
  10. To be expected. The only person who should be shocked here is Brock.
  11. Well, we ALL think we're the GM. He's just the GM for a team nobody else here cares about. Though my dad did give me a Griffey Jr auto ball for my birthday this year. That's about as much as I care about the Mariners.
  12. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/12/al-east-notes-oneill-grichuk-holmes-rays.html At the end of last season, both Tyler O’Neill and Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow expressed interest in the possibility of O’Neill returning to Boston on a new contract. That possibility is now officially off the board after O’Neill signed a three-year, $49.5MM deal with the Orioles yesterday, and as per WEEI.com’s Rob Bradford (Bluesky link), the Sox “were not very aggressive” in their attempts to re-sign the outfielder. Boston’s pursuit of Juan Soto simply took precedence, the Boston Globe’s Alex Speier writes, as since the Red Sox are one of the teams still waiting on Soto to make his decision, the Sox didn’t make O’Neill any offers. Make an offer if you're interested, buddy.
  13. Yes, unless there is a deep discount for them.
  14. And technically Sasaki, but everyone is in on him. The Rockies were one of the first teams to reach out for him.
  15. Per MLB Trade Rumors so far: Soto Adames Bregman Snell Burnes Fried Santander Buehler Teoscar Eovaldi Crochet Mariners Staff - Various Very INTERESTing offseason for the Red Sox.
  16. I don't give extensions to pitchers over 30 - JH
  17. Where Buehler shined was his last 10 innings in the postseason. He had a 0.00 ERA (2.07 FIP) in 3 games. Dodgers thought he wouldn't be 100% until August, maybe it took longer? Maybe it's just SSS?
  18. They should trade that underwater contract to BOS for Masa's underwater contract. 😎
  19. When Romero moved up to AA (SSS), his k rate went way up and his bb rate went way down. We'll see how well he performs this year. At least he's somewhat relevant going into this year. He was completely ignored last year at this point.
  20. Yes, money vs projected production during the controllable years going forward.
  21. Sure they could extend him AFTER the trade. That doesn't increase his trade value though. Right now, he only has one year of control. Valdez isn't a big enough name that they are going to work out an extension prior to him coming on board. I'm not sure a starting pitcher like him would do that considering the signings this offseason anyway.
  22. They are very similar offensively. Moore walks twice as much and Hamilton is faster. The bigger difference is that Moore is a FA after this season and makes 5 times as much as Hamilton. All things being equal, you'd rather have a mediocre Hamilton than a mediocre Moore simply because of cost.
  23. What does an extension have to do with it? The trade of Valdez only concerns one year of control.
