    In that scenario, Duran would stay in center and Anthony would be moved to a corner. I believe that's a better fit for their skillsets. I think Anthony may have a stronger arm than Campbell so could also be a better fit in RF too.

    I get it. The best solution may be to keep Devers at 3B, Casas at 1B and Masa at DH.

    How is Campbell going to find room in the OF when Rafaela, Anthony, Abreu and Duran will all be getting consistent PA's?

    If he can't start vs any LHPs, he'll never show that he can get better.

    He rearranged the OF all the time last year. Duran had 800 innings in CF and 600 in LF. O'Neill had 500 in LF and 300 in RF.

    They had him try out 1B in ST last year and moved him off it very quick. Must have been a good reason.

    I'd trade Casas to build back some prospect capital if it meant Devers went to 1B and they signed Bregman to a 3 year deal.

    Rafaela was really rough early on, but settled in at SS towards the end. If he was a fulltime SS, he'd be league average IMO.

    Hard to get mad at Abreu struggling against a LHP. He 324 wOBA against 4 seamers and 406 SLG. Not his greatest pitch, but not necessarily a huge concern at the moment.

    I like Fried, but I've noted his injury risk. Another TJS and his career could be over. His elbow has flared up the past few years and needed to be managed. Wishing the Yankees bad luck on this one.

    Bregman just adds another roadblock for cheaper options in Mayer and Campbell. If Bregman was only going to sign for 3 years, I could see them making this deal, but he's probably going to want 5 and his bat is already dropping off. Why build up your farm only to sign older players that are in decline?

    If buzzers are involved, it would indicate that they are clearly in on Bregman.

    Trading Arenado for Casas is just terrible even if the Cards were eating the whole contract.

    If Masa wasn't on the team, it could make sense to sign Bregman. If Story and Mayer were always healthy, you'd just throw Mayer to 3B. IDK. There's still a lot of uncertainty here. If Henry is unwilling to eat a contract, they shouldn't sign Bregman.

    I think using their financial might and combining it with a strong farm system is the only way the Sox can be sure to compete year in and year out. It's how the Dodgers have done it recently. Why not spend more to build up the org if it doesn't impact the CBT calc?
