    Mayer is the second best fielder today in a Bregman, Story, Mayer, Campbell IF. Why would you put him at 1B? Story has been awful. If Mayer is up, he's playing either SS or 2B. I'd move Story over to 2B where he played pretty well in '22 TBH. If he's not going to hit, at least his defense could play up a little. Right now, he's not the SS he once was. I'm not sure he's even as good as Rafaela at SS.

    Red Sox like to play down to their opponents, but they also like being .500. 4 game stretch? Feels like they end up 28-27 after the weekend. How toasted will be Giolito be? Every other start it's been rough. 4.22 xFIP though. Could be a tough watch.

    It was obvious from the very first regular season game he was behind the plate. He's just more calm back there and if Wong's bat isn't well above average Wong's not a viable starter.

    He needs to perform in AAA first. If he can't do it in WOO, he definitely can't do it in BOS.

    His k% and bb% and other peripherals are Clay Buchholz-esque. I feel gross for saying that, but I think that's where we are with Bello. Maybe he's a healthier Buchholz without the All Star ceiling?

    I didn't mention 15 AB, that's was you, buddy. It also doesn't change my argument as I still feel like he's been unlucky (091 BABIP in the 51 PA's you are talking about).

    It's easy to say anything on the internet. Alex Bregman really hasn't been worth his contract so far. Garrett Crochet? Bad trade! Sam Kennedy is a great guy.

    If you ignore Kelly's 4/27 appearance: 3.25 ERA, 10 BB, 4 H, 11 K, 0 HR, 1.69 WHIP I'm not so sure they'll DFA him just yet.

    The following guys are coming off back to backs: Chapman Wilson Weissert Slaten Hendriks is the only reliever that didn't pitch last night not named Newcomb (who threw 79 on Sunday). So tonight is night two of Whitlock (uh oh), Hendriks and either Chapman or Slaten for the third time. Need Crochet to go long.
