  1. He was on Nava and Lester's boat.
  2. I'd offer a QO to only Nap and Ells. I'd try to sign Salty for 2/20. 14M is too much for one year of Salty. There were only like 6-8 QO's offered in all of MLB last year.
  3. It's my birthright as a Sox fan for the past decade! Duh!!!
  4. Salty is a good dude though. ^stopping at the finish line with Gomes and Napoli.
  5. Ownership didn't really "lose its way" until 2011 when they signed Crawford. Just because they lost in 08 and 09 doesn't mean ownership had lost its way. They have a tv station that needs programming. That's why Tom Werner is there. I don't think Theo or anyone making decisions in 08-09 were doing so based on Sox Appeal. They had a good team in 2010, but got hit hard by injuries.
  6. Will is a better 3b than Xander.
  7. Why do I care about championships that happened before I was born? I don't understand why anyone would be proud of 90 year old championships.
  8. Oregon State's uniforms are embarassing tonight.
  9. Frontrunner to replace him is dumbass Harold "Unwanted Sexual Advances" Reynolds. f***... I had Fox so much...
  10. @bradfo: Per source, Red Sox have activated Jon Lester's $13 million option for next season
  11. Way over. Mystery Team is already at 6/130.
  12. True. Pedroia is a team leader who plays excellent defense and plays through injury. Ells shouldn't be paid more than he is.
  13. Workman and Doubront were lights out in the postseason. Both were better than Taz imo.
  14. Never gonna happen. The Giants will still complain it's too close to put the A's.
  15. I think Salty can call a decent game, he just has hands of stone and an erratic arm.
  16. I didn't say dump him in 2011, he wouldn't have passed a physical anyway. I just thought they should have brought in more arms at that deadline.
  17. I have no idea. I'm just telling you what a google search told me. They are both from OR and don't live here in the offseason.
  18. He married a girl he knew from Oregon. They live in Arizona. Not sure if they see Boston as a long term home. I doubt he gives the Sox a deal on negotiations.
  19. And new tv contract $$$. Texas may unload a lot of cash this offseason.
  20. He revised it by saying it was 11 teams for Ells and Drew. That also includes 1 call for both Drew and Ells by the Mystery Team.
  21. Thanks Bell! "The deadline for a club to make a qualifying offer to any of its qualifying free agents is 5 p.m. ET on the fifth day following the conclusion of the World Series. A player has until 5 p.m. ET on the seventh day after receiving the offer to accept. If he does so, it takes him off the free-agent market and keeps him with his 2013 team."
  22. When are QO's due? I'd make a QO for Salty, because I think another team will overpay for him. I don't know anything about Tanaka.
  23. You maximize Xander's value at SS. I wouldn't bring Drew back. I'd rather the money spent elsewhere.
  24. Ells is a good player, he's not a $20M guy to me and especially not for 6 years. Anything more than 4/80 is too high imo.
