  1. Ells is a good player, he's not a $20M guy to me and especially not for 6 years. Anything more than 4/80 is too high imo.

  3. Look, I think Ben thought he was building a team that would contend in the East and compete for a playoff spot. He said over and over that the division was tight and up for grabs. I don't think he thought it was some lost season or bridge year. I guess any conversation where spmeone disagrees is a circlejerk now?
  4. s***, well they better bring back Paps, Trot and Youk!!! My shirts need to be worn!!!
  5. But it was his opinion on Ben's moves. Larry's moves didn't work out. He didn't think Ben's moves would work out, for selfish reasons of course. Larry was clearly wrong.
  6. Math? If they won in 2004 and 2005, no one would say two in one year. It's 10.
  7. Lucchino is a dip s*** and wanted Bobby V. His opinion is useless.
  8. After this postseason, he's here long term. He works hard and is a team leader. Even if his stuff regresses, he'll be great to have around to help mentor the young guys.
  9. Were you sad when Beckett left last year? I'm glad that Ben doesn't run this like a fan would.
  10. @alexspeier: Reds claimed Pedro Beato off waivers from the Red Sox.
  11. Who do they have in the next round? The 86 Mets?
  12. Santa
  13. Or a snapback. My bruins flex hat is too tight, my sox flex hat is too big.
  14. I'm sticking with my lucky AL Champs hat. The WS hat had designs on the bottom of the brim which would drive me crazy.
  15. No doubt. He was hurt. Shouldn't have pitched that long with an injury. If they replace his arm at the trade deadline in 2011, they make the postseason.
  16. Hey, Ortiz' defense was way better than Kozma's!
  17. Where's our good luck charm Carter? We should send him a gift basket.
  18. I heard it mentioned on the radio. The stat may have been wrong.
  19. He went from dislike to me actively rooting for him early on in the season. He lost weight, had better demeanor on the mound and was just a workhorse. However, I will not apologize for hating his historically awful 2011 season.
  20. Pitched 200 innings this year. Maybe a little overextended for his age? Maybe he stopped throwing as hard since he was struggling with location. Maybe he was just part of the vast conspiracy to have the Sox win?
  21. He didn't make the play because he's old and slow. It had little to do with him judging the distance to the wall.
  22. Your English is great! Give yourself more credit! If I had to write all my posts in French, it wouldn't be anywhere near as good as the post you just made.
  23. Peavy isnot regaining any sort of CY form. It's not happening. If Buchholzcould stay healthy, i'd want him around, but he simply can't stay on the field.
