    Yeah, that ship sailed. DUMBrowski seems to think it's either not necessary, or that he can pick one up midyear if need be.

    As it stands right now, I believe the pitching rotation will keep the Sox out of the postseason unless ERod/Porcello/Buchholz become a solid #2. This team is better on paper than last uear, but that's not saying much. As long as we have meaningful games in September, I'll be happy.

    For reference, Boggs is #3 in JAWS. Great player. I wish he didn't have the Devil Rays rumor attached to him. He was probably loaded when he signed the contract and it wouldn't be legally binding anyway.

    Tek is #60 in JAWS for catchers. Not sure there are ANY metrics that could put him in the HOF.

    It's great to have a top notch developmental system. However, when you can't supplement the MLB roster with good FA pickups, you'll struggle to see success year in and year out. Also, you need to know which prospects to hoard and which to sell high on.
