To be fair, Pablo did work on his mile run, he just didn't look at his stop watch all off season. I move for a vote of no confidence on John Farrell who stated the Pablo lost 20 lbs, when it is clear he did no such thing.

I remember a lot of people giving Coco Crisp a good amount of hate, but he was light years ahead of Damon defensively. Every time I went to Fenway, some knucklehead would yell "Johnny woulda got that." Nope. -
Why do you think he won't go to the ground? I'm not going to convince anyone to give Pablo a chance. People made up their minds about him last year. Nothing would have fixed that even losing weight. His personality was never going to fit in a market like Boston.

Hanigan should probably stick around unless Vazquez and Swihart are really killing it this spring. I'm just not convinced that they are both ready. Whoever has the better ST should make the club for opening day. If Swihart still needs more polish, they should just move him to AAA and have Tek follow him around all year.

The sad part was that Damon actually needed a cutoff from 15 feet away. He had the worst OF arm I've ever seen. -
I think Hanley needs to be given a little bit of rope this spring. If he hangs himself with it, so be it. There is still a good amount of upside to him, but I hope Farrell is able to give Shaw an honest shot if Hanley really struggles. Pablo is a fat stinky turd. I hope he plays well and can regain his form. I don't think he will, but I'll try to remain hopeful. If they can squeeze two decent years out of him (2016 and 2017), I won't complain about his contract going forward. Maybe he just needed a year to adjust to AL pitching? His defensive problems are a big red flag though. It's not like he was adjusting to a new position the way Hanley was.
