    I actually blame John Henry too. He said he didn't support the deal and thought CC wasn't a good fit. With that amount of money, he should have stepped in and vetoed it.

    No. It was just a joke because A700 has always hated Theo's moves. The only time he was happy with Theo was when they signed CC. He even changed his avatar to show Theo during that offseason. That move didn't quite work out.

    I kinda feel this way too. He left town leaving behind an overpaid and underproductive roster. If not for Ben's fire sale and amazing yard sale finds, they don't win a WS in 2013. I do kinda wonder what 2012 would have looked like if Ben got to pick the manager.

    And yet there have been no reports that signing him is a priority for the Sox. Maybe they don't think he has the stuff you think he does? Personally, I think they're bidding only to increase the price for the Yanks.

    When Dutchy puts real effort into a post, it's better than 99% of the crap put on here. People can bitch and complain about him trolling, but I've never received any over the line pm's from him, so I can't comment on it. I think he has good ideas, but gets bored with seeing the same low brow arguments that we have every day. It's just a shame that whenever a new poster springs up that can actually formulate sentences and have a reasonable baseball discussiom, that it's most likely Dutchy.

    Yes, because there are no other players Ben could make a move for that could help improve the roster... Everyone else in the league is garbage compared to the Sox 25 man roster.

    The depth option at 3b last April was Snyder and Holt. That's no better than what they have today.
