    Also, his OPS is .135 greater vs LHP than RHP. Yes, that's a noticeable split. His OPS+ against LHP isn't a "myth" as you say it is.

    They've seen enough of Castillo to think he's not worth a roster spot. Can't say I disagree. Maybe he sucks in practice too and it's not just what we saw on the field? Young is a fine professional player. He's been in a slump so far, but if he replicated his 2015 season, we'd have no reason to complain. He might not have Castillo's "upside" but his floor isn't as low as Castillo's either.

    Sure, it could be random. I still would take that chance over what I've seen from Farrell. He's better than Valentine and Kerrigan, but he's towards the bottom of the Sox managing totem pole. It's not a one month over reaction. I haven't liked him since 2013.

    Possible? Sure. I think Papi has always gone oppo fairly well. Pedey hits better when he uses all fields, but has a tendency to pull too much when he's trying to reach la luna. Xander has always hit oppo, even in the minirs. Not sure about Mookie, but seeing him destroythat shift in Gouston was fun to watch.
