  1. I think they were thinking they were getting 2013 Ellsbury with a short porch in right. It's basically what they got in 2014 (increased hr's from 9 to 16). If he played like 2014 for the rest of the contract, they wouldn't complain, but there's no way they get 5 more years of healthy Ellsbury.
  2. K/BB% is never meaningless.
  3. He could wind up being a productive 3b or LF. It's all just guesswork. I agree that they need to maximize the value of each prospect, something they have struggled with in the past.
  4. This is the best influx of new posters since Dodger Blues came over!
  5. iortiz, your thoughts?
  6. Beninturdi will be fast tracked next year when Pedey gets injured and Holt is moved to 2b.
  7. How many points for Ellsbury stealing home? The most exciting play in the game!
  8. I didn't want to say it. That was definitely the case a few years ago, but maybe it'll be different that they have a lot more young guys in lineup now.
  9. If he hits like he did in 2014, I'll have no complaints.
  10. Don't worry about me. It takes quite a lot for me to get offended on here. This place exists so we can shoot the s*** and have a little fun.
  11. His WHIP is 1.11. He'll be fine.
  12. Didn't he strike out the side against the Jays?
  13. I wish he'd go on the DL. He flat out sucks right now.
  14. Seeing that he missed all of 2015, he'll have a very long leash especially if the pitchers are going well.
  15. Just trying to help ma'am...

    Celtics

The 2001-2002 Celtics team is one of my favorites.
  17. f*** Shelby Miller.
  18. From today's Herald: David Ortiz might not get a chance to use his first baseman’s glove for his final trip to Atlanta. Ortiz, who received a hearty ovation at Turner Field the last time the Sox visited the Braves, will not be in the starting lineup tonight, Farrell said. Hanley Ramirez will play first base. Farrell is undecided on Ortiz’ status for tomorrow night’s game. “David has been on base a lot with the amount of running he’s been doing,” Farrell said. “All of that is factored in.”
  19. So it's not really Red Sox related then.
