    Any interest in Cliff Lee? Some here want to have Rodriguez start in AAA and it would open up a rotation spot. If Lee finds his old self, he's a lock at #2.

    I'd also say that most recent performance (i.e. previous 2-3 years) is more indicative of future performance than career averages.

    How does that make Miley a better trade chip? Buchholz is flawed, but has a higher upside than Miley or Kelly. Buchholz has a reasonable contract and can pitch like an ace for a stretch. Miley and Kelly are back end of the roation guys at best.

    I think the best trade chip in the rotation is Buchholz. The return on Miley or Kelly would be underwhelming.

    Abuse is far too harsh a word. Didn't hear as many boobirds the past few years. For the back to back putrid seasons, you think fans would have been over the top with disgust. Frankly, the high cost of a Sox game insulates the team from a lot of the negativity.
