  1. If we had pitching prospects in the pipeline, I don't think we'd be as concerned. Espinoza is a few years away and ERod is in the midst of a lost year.
  2. Aren't we always complaining about the 12th guy in the bullpen or the 25th man on the roster?
  3. The Sox are playing well and we desperately need something to complain about.
  4. I just don't ever understand this reasoning. You either like having Buchholz as a part of the rotation and think he can succeed or you don't pick him up.
  5. The All Star game is purely about name recognition. Not sure Bradley has better recognition than Betts at this point. He's still a #9 hitter and a guy who has been productive for less than 12 months at this point.
  6. Sure, but there's more evidence against Papi AND he's a DH. Bagwell should have been a first ballot guy based on his JAWS.
  7. No hard evidence against Bagwell and he's not in.
  8. Castillo has been rolling in Pawtucket. He'll be the next guy called up imo.
  9. Gross. If I move, it'll be to one of the coasts.
  10. It will state "banned" under their username.
  11. You mortgage the future if you set yourself up for a good 4-5 year run. Doing it for a 1 year shot doesn't make sense to me. Plus, we have 3 recent championship banners. I don't see the urgency here.
  12. I have seen him go more to RF this season and have been very pleased with it so far. To me, he's still a few hr's away from thinking he needs to go La Luna every game. If he keeps up the good work, I may have to revise the Three Point Plan.
  13. You don't mortgage the future just because it's a retiring player's last season.
  14. Yes, he's been doing a much better job recently. He is a much better hitter when he uses all fields like Chili said in the article I posted.
  15. Chen had a QO attached to him though.
  16. Don't be ridiculous. Fangraphs would have nothing useful to give the Sox in return!
  17. I'd rather have Buchholz in the rotation.
  18. I agree, especially about the "to a certain point." When a poster has brought absolutely nothing that contributes to any discussion and continues to post nonsense like "Allen Craig is the player of the month," it probably reaches that certain point sooner than later.
  19. You didn't there, but have in the past and basically all your posts are about how you hate the Sox.
  20. Game threads are the perfect place for someone to say "if Hanley had swung..." You swooping in to say "yeah, well he didn't" doesn't really add anything to the conversation and actively dismisses the other poster for no other reason but for the fact that you are a Yankees fan. My advice is that the Yankees fans who stick around here tend to be a little less antagonistic and more reasonable in their opinions on the Sox. What's the point in logging into a thread to post "hope you lose" at every opportunity? It doesn't add to the conversation and just kinda makes you look like a dope.
  21. http://m.mlb.com/news/article/170992420/mookie-betts-hitting-like-dustin-pedroia Pedroia is a pull hitter. He doesn't use all fields as much as he should.
  22. We definitely needed that extra pitcher once ERod went down. It was clear within the first week or so that he wouldn't be ready for the season opener. Considering all of the other question marks in the rotation, that was the time to make a deal. They definitely lucked into Wright's performance. If they had not picked up Buchholz's option, they could have grabbed a more reliable starter for similar or less money (i.e. JA Happ, Doug Fister, Colby Lewis) and the rotation would be looking much better.
  23. One year? That seems to be a pretty liberal time frame for seeing a substantial defensive improvement out of him.
