  1. The sad part was that Damon actually needed a cutoff from 15 feet away. He had the worst OF arm I've ever seen.
  2. I think Hanley needs to be given a little bit of rope this spring. If he hangs himself with it, so be it. There is still a good amount of upside to him, but I hope Farrell is able to give Shaw an honest shot if Hanley really struggles. Pablo is a fat stinky turd. I hope he plays well and can regain his form. I don't think he will, but I'll try to remain hopeful. If they can squeeze two decent years out of him (2016 and 2017), I won't complain about his contract going forward. Maybe he just needed a year to adjust to AL pitching? His defensive problems are a big red flag though. It's not like he was adjusting to a new position the way Hanley was.
  3. Haters gonna hate!
  4. Approximately 3 wins in half a season.
  5. The Life of Pablo (Sandoval): Cheeseburgers
  6. Farreell is a chubby chaser. Not a problem in real life, but not an optimal choice for a MLB manager. Probably has a Greg Luzinski poster in his locker.
  7. If I could, I'd put those two mutts in the backseat and drive them to the vet to be PTS. We can tell kimmi that they are playing ball at a nice farm upstate.
  8. @sean_mcadam: Both Chris Young and Pablo Sandoval have reported; that leaves Ortiz and Pedroia as only missing position players. Jeez, trade the midget already. Also, the most annoying part of ST is media calling it "The Fort."
  9. @peteabe: Hopefully Pablo has his own glove or people will really will be upset.
  10. Pablo just showed up! He looks about how you'd expect him to.
  11. There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part! You can't even passively take part! And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels…upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop! And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!
  12. It's not just the media that hates them. Also, ST is boring to the point that any little thing is a big deal. These guys need to fill their columns somehow.
  13. Loss of 1st rounder too?
  14. Pablo told the team he'd show up today. He did not.
  15. Marketing to 6th grade boys?
  16. Yes, I need up to minute analysis of the Wally Wave and food at away ballparks.
  17. So you don't like Gary then?
  18. If Hanley played Manny level defense, he would still be out in LF this spring.
  19. If they really wanted him, he'd still be here.
  20. Manny was fine in LF. He wasn't a dumpster fire. He didn't look like he was hustling, but he was good enough. He was leagues better than Hanley.
  21. Dojji, if they bring in another starter, it's because Buchholz is injured again.
  22. I agree. I want Kelly in the pen. I just think the Sox are going to have him begin the season in the rotation because "potential." I really liked Johnson before he got hurt last year. I'd consider having him start in Pawtucket and see if Owens has developed over the offseason in the meantime.
