  1. Sources are saying that ERod should be throwing a bp sesh in the next few days. Hope he can get in a few innings in ST. He's definitely starting in AAA though.
  2. Get your facts outta here! That's not what TS is about!!!
  3. His first season in the minors.
  4. Yup, Holt had little trouble finding ABs last year. I think this lineup could be a little more versatile and allow for good matchups at the end of games.
  5. Porcello ("got my ass handed to me") and Elias (5 ER) both pitched like dogshit today.
  6. Could see either needing a long dl stay this year.
  7. So not too far off of Pedroia's 15 errors in 84 games in his first pro season ( that coming from a guy who won defensive awards in college).
  8. Moncada looks good at 2b to me.
  9. What should Shaw's spot be at the start of the season? "@peteabe - Travis Shaw has played 24 innings defensively, 19 of them at 3B." I like that he's getting a lot oftime at 3b, where he hasn't played fulltime since college. I think he's a solid backup 1b/3b and should get significant playing time as one of those guys should falter early on this year.
  10. @peteabe - #RedSox pitching coming up: Sunday: Porcello, Elias, Layne Monday: Kelly, Johnson, Barnes, Ross, Marmol Tuesday: Price, Kimbrel, Taz I'm interested in seeing how Elias and Johnson perform. Marmol was in midseason form last time I saw him.
  11. @peteabe - Still no bullpen session set for Eduardo Rodruguez. Farrell didn't rule him out for OD roster but acknowledged that was unlikely.
  12. I heard they would want to have Elias in the rotation over Wright. Also, they think Owens should start in AAA.
  13. Getting ready to deal Pedroia.
  14. Everyone's observation is clouded by bias some way or another.
  15. Sam Travis' nickname is Dr Chill. I didn't know he was a comic book villain from the 50's...
  16. Hanley brought the Napoli glove. He had it since last season. He brought the glove. There were no reports saying he didn't bring a glove. Why would the Sox tell anyone to only get balls hit right to them? Crazy talk. I had to hold my phone behind my head while typing this because my eyes rolled so far back in my head...
  17. Is he ready to start the season though? He had that injury last year. I think they'd have him begin the season in AAA. ERod could be ready before Johnson.
  18. How f***ing terrifying would it be to have someone choke the everliving s*** out of you and then here them start shooting off rounds in a nearby room. f*** that guy. Personally, I can't root for people like that. Sometimes there are more important things to root for than just laundry.
  19. Plan B is Stephen Wright?
  20. Point #2 is pulled from your earlier posts that were never responded to. I am willing to admit that I am wrong when evidence disagrees with my belief, some just ignore those posts over and over and over. *additional snark deleted*
  21. Someone had to counterbalance Kimmi's negativity in this thread!
  22. The only time it's brave to play LF at Fenway is when you have a linebacker playing 3b that doesn't mind taking out a LFer on a popup. - Sir Frederick Du Beach
  23. Hanley showed up with the 1b glove he had used to practice with all last year. I'm actually glad that Pablo showed up as a fatty fatty fat fat, because 2 months of "Hanley is using Napoli's glove" stories would have been horrible. Hanley wanted to play 1b in the winter league, but the Sox wouldn't let him. How is that Hanley's fault exactly? Most reports from journalists outside of the Fenway/Globe faction have stated that Hanley looks better defensively than Pablo. Remy has stated that Hanley is getting better by the day. I think I'd trust the viewpoints of those who see him day in and day out before I'd harp on a missed pick in a ST game. At some point, you have to give the players a chance to succeed before you s*** all over them.
  24. The PR department is about as slick as sandpaper coated with shards of glass. These are the people who gave a kick in the ass to the winningest coach this team ever had when he was shown the door.
  25. If this is the case, why are the Sox coaches commending him on the amount of work he is putting in and that he is night and day from last year? Also, I found it hard to believe that he spent his whole time at SS ignoring fly balls...
