  1. That's not exactly true and is pretty transphobic. This take smells worse than hot garbage in July (aka NYC year round).
  2. So a better version of Joe Kelly then?
  3. I agree that he's untouchable, but to get Myers here would take a substantial trade. I also agree that John Jay would be a much easier acquisition.
  4. I agree, but I don't see them moving Pomeranz for a package of Owens, Johnson and Trey Ball.
  5. What is more likely: Wright has a 4 ERA for the rest of the way and Buchholz shows no improvement Wright has a 2 ERA for the rest of the way and Buchholz pitches like it's 2013
  6. Sure, but he should have been a first ballot guy. Why make him wait a few years?
  7. Your optimism doesn't bother me. I just think you have a tendency to be a little too patient with struggling players. Relying on Buchholz is a fool's errand imo.
  8. For Pomeranz AND Myers? It would have to be a pretty substantial package. ERod, Devers, Moncada, Travis and Owens at the very least. Maybe they'd want Swihart instead of Devers? Idk.
  9. @alexspeier Farrell said nothing to announce tonight on Uehara role. He said the team would have to examine if there are internal alternatives.
  10. I've been saying this since last year. He's on borrowed time.
  11. I like Myers for my fantasy team, but in reality, he's a guy with a lengthy medical history. I'd only take him if the price was right.
  12. Because ROMAN REIGNS FAILED A DRUG TEST months ago.
  13. His prior season was great. He wasn't great during 2013. I remember the talk surrounding that trade was "he can just turn the corner and pitch like last year." He was fine for what he was. I think the prevailing thinking is that they need to do better than a 2013 Jake Peavy this time around. The last pitcher they acquired that would fit the bill this year would be Mike Boddicker, imo.
  14. http://uproxx.com/prowrestling/cm-punk-ufc-debut-delayed/ Phil Brooks is probably the greatest con artist of our time.
  15. http://uproxx.com/dimemag/derrick-rose-traded-to-knicks-for-robin-lopez-jose-calderon-nba/ Derrick Rose to now be most overhyped player in NBA. Good for him.
  16. That's every sport though. From protecting Tom Brady to giving Lebron extra free throws to Yaz saying "that's not a strike for me." That almost goes with the territory. It's the least surprising thing to me.
  17. LHH and RHH are clearly called differently. Not so damn bad! Home pitchers are called more favorably than visitors. Not so damn bad! 9th inning calls are worse than 1st inning calls. Not so damn bad!
  18. Papi can't play every day.
  19. !!! Considering how much you've crapped on the team in the past, this post made my day. (no sarcasm)
  20. It might be way down on the list, but it's on the list. It would speed up the game for certain. If you can make a simple change to improve the game, why hesitate? I've never said it's the most important issue affecting the game today. It is "an" issue affecting the game.
  21. And Kimmi's original point had nothing to do with productivity. It was more about fears concerning the workforce changing, which is constantly happening regardless of what we post on here.
  22. Well, I've already stated numerous times that baseball is currently a game that is beloved by an aging core. Once the boomers die out, we can expect contraction. In order to reach a younger market share, they should attempt to modernize parts of the game that are antiquated. Will it fix the bottom line tomorrow? Nope. Could modernizing the game prevent the bottom line from crashing in the future? Maybe.
