It's hindsight that Farrell would have known 4 lefties were coming up. He didn't realize it until Guerin Austin turned around. It's not fair to expect him to pay attention to the game.
Anyway, it's not his fault. It's the players' fault.

Cafardo ranked Farrell as the 14th best manager (4th in this division) at the beginning of this season. Wonder where he'd put him now?
Francona is my favorite coach of all time. He's the one that go away.
How I'd rank the Sox managers since 1990:
Tito
Williams
Little
Kennedy
Morgan
Farrell
Valentine
Hobson
Kerrigan
Buchholz has been much better in the pen. He should be left there for the remainder of the season. I'd rather they bring up Owens for a spot start than have Buchholz put back in the rotation.

He has seemed to have changed his approach since coming here. Maybe they needed to trade for Derek Norris too?
This expects the O's to play below .500 and the Sox to play better than they have so far (.570 percentage going forward). It's certainly possible, I guess...
If the Sox go into a one game playoff with the O's, I'll be drinking heavily.
If they are unhappy with him though, why wait that long?
If you think he's doing a good job and is your guy, you keep him. If you think you'd be better off without him, move him ASAP.
Not sure what other changes they could possibly make now. There are no other guys to bring up from the farm. Any trade would be for a guy that would have to go through waivers.
