  1. Texas is also the best team in the AL right now.
  2. I have no problem with Price, Wright or Porcello. I'm worried that ERod is going to continue to struggle the rest of the way and he was being relied on as a major part of the rotation this year. I think a simple upgrade in the 5th spot would do this team well. Also, riding overly high during a winning streak and overly low during a losing streak is just failing to see the larger picture. I thought this team was an 86-88 win team in the offseason. I still believe they'll wind up there and am happy about it. This is far better than what we suffered through the previous two years.
  3. I pretty much agree. Worrying about someone living up to their contract is a fruitless endeavor. It's about the product on the field, not the payroll.
  4. I recently read a post that stated Buchholz would wind up earning his $13M this year per Fangraphs projections. Blech.
  5. Some on here have said that the team's record is a direct reflection of the manager. Well, can I blame the june swoon on him or does he only get credit for April and May?
  6. Can't let Pedroia go! He's our best pitching coach! Love watching him grind through another season with a dirty uniform!
  7. They're picking up the option again. I guarantee it.
  8. It's time now to cut bait with Clay? Nope. It should have been done in the offseason.
  9. Have they launched Buchholz into the Gulf with a catapult yet? Asking for a friend.
  10. It had value at one time?
  11. The heart of Maine = Northern Hillbillies. That's why theyhave that s***** governor right now.
  12. I agree. At this point, you go with Vazquez's upside over Hanigan. Leon and Hanigan are basically the same guy.
  13. Pretty sure he doesn't watch the games.

  16. While Pawtucket's roster is exceedingly unexciting at the moment.
  17. I'm in agreement. Probably. I think the Sox should hold out for a better deal if they are going to move Benintendi or Moncada though. Moncada. Nah, they'd probably be in 3rd or 4th place. The Rays are terrible this year and the Sox would probably still be better than the Yankees.

  19. They are more likely to trade for an OF than bring Benintendi up midseason this year.
  20. He's great. Anyone who punches Bautista gets a gold star in my book. Of course, I'm not so shallow as to judge someone by their looks...
  21. Did he fail a test? Yup. Is it all that much different than Cruz, ARod, Palmeiro, et al? Nope. "What's good for the goose is good for the gander." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
  22. My new policy platform: Save the bunt, kill the win!
