Which is why it is a complete s*** show right now. Buchholz shouldn't be starting for any MLB team right now. The problem is that the Sox have struggled year in and year out to develop young pitching. Now the rotation is: highest paid FA from last offseason, downgrade from Lester, flash in the pan knuckleballer, hollowed out shell of Buchholz and trash bag of AAAA starters trying to earn a 5th spot.
Is Buchholz the only problem in this rotation? No, and I've never said he was.
All along I've stated the following: the Sox needed to grab 2 FA pitchers in the offseason, move on from Buchholz and trade for a third starter once ERod got injured. The rotation should be: Price, FA #2, Porcello, SP trade and Wright.
