As long as it's not hurting his overall defense, I don't have a problem with adding versatility. We just have seen with a certain other young players how forcing versatility has hurt the overall defensive package.

Sox are 3rd in offensive fWAR since June 1. Where's the necessity at the moment?

I still think one of the OFers should get traded this offseason, but I don't really think it needs to be Duran. His personality fits with Boston and the team. Now that Anthony has shown that he can play an above average RF at Fenway, I think moving on from Abreu (or other OFer) is far from a deal breaker.

Henry is probably disappointed too. The announcers don't typically do anything but toe the company line... Hint. Hint. Henry dumped Bloom because of how he dithered at the deadlines in '22 and '23. Breslow isn't doing any better.

For two plus years I've said that he's likely to get injured. I was including Mayer in trades last offseason. Not sure what Mayer has to do with the May trade TBH.
