    If you're moving on from JBJ, who are your starting OFers? Young can mash LHP, but who hits against RHP?

    I don't care how it gets done. Results matter to me. 7th in BAA. 3rd in Runs. 3rd in ERA. 5th in Saves. 7th in BBs (lowest). 5th in Losses (lowest). Low batting average + not giving up walks + not blowing games = pretty good bullpen.

    2012 - 2014 was the WMB experiment. I'm not sure many people were complaining about 3b in 2012. In 2015 they signed Pablo. Pablo failed. Shaw played over 100 games in 2016 and was a 2 WAR player. If it wasn't for the Pablo contract, I believe they would have found a professional 3b to play until Devers is ready. Tough to sign a FA 3b when you already have Sandoval on the roster.

    How about: IF THE INFIELD FLY RULE IS NOT CALLED, RUN IF THE BALL HITS THE GROUND. Definitely don't meander around and get tagged out. Definitely don't stand directly on 1b like a dope. Don't fail to run out the hit to 1b.

    Farrell teams never run the bases well. I'm not sure Butterfield has done a very good job prepping the guys lately. Maybe his offseason surgery is taking a toll? I give a huge amount of blame to Amaro at 1st for Pedroia standing on the bag and JBJ not running through it on that triple play. I'd get rid of those three guys for sure.

    I think the big difference now is that we had high expectations this year in comparison to 1992 (Butch Hobson and the go go Sox), 2014 (who cares about wins after a WS) and 1966 (last year before modern era of Red Sox).

    He was shifted towards LF. Too far of a run for JBJ. I've seen JBJ let balls drop in similar locations before too.

    Workman was optioned back to AAA. Let's see if he starts down there.

    He was great last year. I've never said otherwise. When he was hitting opposite field early in the season, I said that was a great sign for him. Now, the writing is on the wall. I'm giving him a chance to turn it around. He's my starting 2B in fantasy FFS.

    JBJ wouldn't have gotten to that ball if he was positioned where Beni was. No chance.

    I was just pointing out that while things are bad now, they have been worse. 2014, 1992 and 1966 were pretty terrible years to be a Sox fan.
