    Well, you used career WRC+ and Carl had a lot of down years towards the end of his career. Maybe you should have done the 5 best seasons for each? Mo's WRC+ doesn't include his downward spiral with the Angels and Mets. His career WRC+ is 129 (same as Lynn's career total).

    If the rotation is Ace?/Price/Porcello, I'm not sure you have to worry too much about Pomeranz and Wright/Buchholz filling out the rotation. That rotation should be good enough to guarantee a postseason run. That's why I would think about trading one of the B's to help get another TOTR guy in here.

    Opposing teams do it to help fill their ballpark. I bet the Padres ownership enjoyed all the Sox fans that came out to see Papi one last time.

    IDK, their defense is pretty good. OF is solid. C is solid. Pedey is almost GG caliber still. Xander is ok. Hanley was pretty good at 1b and can only get better.

    Farrell could just sit down either guy and say "did you see how the closers were used in the playoffs? That's what we want to do going forward." Feed into their ego. We can't just see every guy we don't like as some sort of man-baby. I'm always surprised at the number of professional psychologists on this board.
