  1. How much longer will Benintendi's BABIP stay at .150?
  2. Yup, the organizational sky isn't falling for a long, long time. There may be blips like 2012, 2014 and 2015, but us Sox fans have an easy gig these days.
  3. I was just going strictly with April rankings.
  4. Previous #8's: Basabe Barnes Barnes Swihart Brentz Y. Navarro Y. Navarro Alamanzar Kalish Masterson Buchholz Delcarmen Delcarmen Spann The farm is on the thin side, but I bet they really ramp the international signings back up this year. Not being able to get International FA's for a while really killed them almost as much as the trades.
  5. He's probably really overrated by the Sox Prospects guys. He had great results last year, but really needs to be able to locate to perfection if he's going to play higher than AAA. I think his grade is more indicative of his performance than his projection.
  6. I truly know that we are in a post fact world when people keep trying to gaslight The Greatest Clutch Hitter in the History of the Boston Red Sox, David Ortiz, #34.
  7. If it wasn't for our great personalities, we'd never get laid.
  8. Posts like these should be in the Minor League forum, honestly.
  9. Then you definitely wouldn't have a top closer.
  10. Is it ironic that the base running coach is recovering from his 2nd knee surgery and a star ballplayer just went down with a knee injury running the bases? I guess so. Maybe self fulfilling prophecy? Does anyone know the status of BB's shoulder prior to Steven Wright's appearance in LA last year?
  11. I bet that ******* Robert Andino throws out the first pitch today. At least that horsef***er Kevin Gregg isn't playing for them anymore.
  12. The Red Sox will place Jackie Bradley Jr. on the 10-day disabled list prior to Tuesday night's game against the Orioles, but at this point, the belief is that the center fielder's right knee sprain will be a short-term ailment. With the ability to make the move retroactive to Sunday, Bradley could return as soon as April 19 at Toronto.
  13. This is a direct result of Brian Butterfield being injured in ST and not able to appropriately coach the players. Maybe the Sox would be better off if they didn't put Ruben Amaro Jr on the coaching staff and had a suitable backup for BB...
  14. Nah, Owens would have way more walks. Jay is still just 18, so I'm not worried. He has a few more seasons before poor performance raises my eyebrows.
  15. Paplebon would always do the same thing, but no one got sand in their underpants over it.
  16. Losing the Friday game really killed this series. Oh well. Back home to give the Baltimore Shitbags a case of the flu.
  17. This Sale guy is fine I guess. Whatever...
  18. Moreland has been making good contact for a long time now. Can't just look at boxscores to see how someone is playing.
  19. @PeteAbe The game is going to be delayed. Rain about to hit at Comerica. 6 hour delay please!
  20. The only overpays would be Kimbrel, Pomeranz and Thornburg. You can make a case for the Kimbrel overpay and Pomeranz was just the price of doing business at the trade deadline. Including Dubon in the Thornburg trade makes little sense to me. Not that Dubon is a deal breaker, but why keep draining the swamp?
  21. He has a Shawn Green look to him when he's hitting, with an easy stroke that should add power as he matures. He runs well and plays a good outfield to boot, making Ball one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2013 Draft class. Ball had his multiple skills on display all over the country this past summer. Should have just let Ball hit.
  22. What a waste of a pick Trey Ball was...
  23. They worked Hernandez out in the OF in Pawtucket last year. They quickly moved him back to IF because it wasn't going well. (This was noted in the most recent Sox Prospects podcast.) They were doing the same with Dubon and decided that Dubon was a better UTIL fit for both IF and OF, so I'm not sure why they moved on from him.
