    I think he fails to develop at all this year and they try to make him an everyday player in the offseason.

    I wouldn't give up on him per se, but guys like Randy Johnson and James Paxton had stuff that could fool MLB guys. All Owens has is an offspeed pitch that is decent, but is paired with a very poor fastball that won't fool many major league hitters. That doesn't really translate for long term success.

If you're unable to allow others a moment of joy because you are all consumed by stats, it probably means you aren't enjoying that moment either.

    I'm sure Pomeranz would be much cheaper than Porcello, but you get what you pay for. I'd rather spend the money on Porcello if he keeps pitching like last year and not re-sign JBJ.

    I'm still thinking Devers has a great chance of being the Sox 3B in September. Hanley tends to hit the DL every year, so I bet Travis gets his shot too.
