  1. It works like a dog whistle!
  2. Shaw is now on paternity leave. All you weirdos that give people s*** for going on leave can now stop complaining about the trade as he's not man enough to play for your team.
  3. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/cougars/article/Issues-could-drop-UH-pitcher-Seth-Romero-out-of-11116406.php One especially embarrassing incident occurred early in the season when Romero was captured in a photograph holding a bong while in full uniform. MY MAN!!!! Later that day, UH coach Todd Whitting announced that Romero, the Cougars' designated staff ace, had been removed indefinitely from the weekend rotation for violating the team's travel rules. DON'T CARE... But many close to the UH program believed Romero had turned a corner in preparation for this season. One scout who watched Romero during fall workouts called the hard-throwing lefthander a "model citizen, a model teammate." FUNNY HOW THAT HAPPENS, BUT AT LEAST HE DIDN'T STEAL ANY LAPTOPS.
  4. 75% of the time, the WC teams don't win the WS. WC teams are most likely not going to win the WS. 75% of the time means that it's heavily weighted that a division winner will win the WS.
  5. I agree completely. 2013 was a random, fluky season. I don't celebrate that season at all. The whole time the team was playing in the WS I was just like "LOL this is so random so who cares." The only thing that wasn't random was all the smoke that was enveloping our evil ownership group during the on field celebration. The smell of sulfur is thick in the air whenever Vlad Dracul (JH) leaves his coffin.
  6. Harmony gets way too much s*** around here. I don't think he's always trying to stir the pot. If I had seen that nonsense, I would have posted it too.
  7. If you're not good enough to win the division, you're most likely not good enough to win a WS.
  8. That's good...
  9. And if Devers needs to be moved off position, we certainly have a SS that can slide over to 3B as people have Xander would never last at SS.
  10. The scouts that said that would jump at the chance to trade for Devers. It's a frivolous complaint at this point.
  11. It's "important" but it's not an end all be all. The path to winning the WS is easier if you have a great team. Great teams typically win their divisions.
  12. There is something known as the Wild Card that mitigates the division you are in. In 04, the Sox won the WC and the WS. Teams that aren't good enough to win the WC aren't good enough to win a WS. The toughness of the division is overstated. I'd also assert that the ALE isn't always the toughest division in baseball. Right now, I'd say the NL West is a far tougher division.
  13. *Some evaluators have said!!!! That's some real ******** right there.
  14. No, just that he is too big to play 3B.
  15. But at least one evaluator who saw him recently walked away convinced that Devers won’t be able to hold down the position in the big leagues because of his size and condition. If this turns out to be true -- and he’s a young player, capable of change -- it could impact Boston’s planning. People have been saying that all along. His defense is only getting better though. If he has a franchise bat, moving him off of 3B won't matter.
  16. Not true, the entire league competes for the same WC spots. All divisions have up and down years. I don't think the Sox would run away with the division every year if they were out west. Plus, you're playing for the post season. If you aren't good enough to win the AL East or WC in the regular season, you weren't going to win the WS either.
  17. You can criticize Farrell for W/L. Everything else is just hearsay.
  18. Make Panda the 3b coach.
  19. Sox could very well make him look like an ace today.
  20. @redsoxstats Marrero's splits are wild: .127/.172/.145 vs RHP for a -12 OPS+, .353/.389/1.000 vs LHP in 17 at bats.
  21. Tillman has sucked since coming off the DL this year.
