    Honestly, if MLB just canned the shittiest umpires, I think a lot of players (and fans) would go easier on the ok ones. The fact that Angel Hernandez is still employed is embarrassing.

    I guess. Holt does have more positional versatility than Lin, but he hasn't played very well. They really just need to win 2 games this series.

    Past 7: .262 BABIP 83% LOB 5.10 FIP GSc 53 Before: .346 BABIP 69% LOB 4.05 FIP GSc 49 2016: .269 BABIP 74% LOB 3.40 FIP GSc 61 I think he was a little unlucky in the first half, but he's not really pitching THAT much better now. I'm definitely not a fan of that FIP number. I hope this isn't him on a lucky streak.

    The reason he's only playing catcher some games is because his ankle is still messed up. He's physically unable to play C in back to back games at the moment. He is practicing at 1B and 3B. Not sure he can help at all this year though.

    The only reason they'd promote Swihart instead of Butler would be because of the 40 man roster implications.

    It's never a bad time to complain about a theoretical lineup. That's far more worrisome than the last five weeks of a season.

    Holt is fine on the roster. I think they just need to bring Lin up and drop one of their relievers. Having 13 pitchers is overkill imo.

    I'm fine with ripping into Farrell, but his bullpen use has been ok to me. You can't throw the same 3 guys out there everytime there is a lead. You just can't. Sometimes, the secondary options need to step up.

    In ERod's first 59 games, he has about 4.6 WAR. For Buch's first 4 year (64 games), he had about 4.7 WAR. Good news is that there are 4 more years of ERod posts until he gets to FA.
