    Good ball player, but an absolute s***** human being. f*** Kirby Puckett. He didn't die soon enough. When Tonya finally called the Edina police on Dec. 21, 2001, to report that Kirby had, over the phone, threatened to kill her, she also mentioned earlier abuses. Her husband was, she said through her tears, a violent man. Once, she said, he tried to strangle her with an electrical cord. Once he locked her in the basement.     @ClearTheBases #RedSox officially announce opening day roster. Bobby Poyner and Marcus Walden added. To make room on 40-man roster, Marco Hernandez placed on 60-day DL. Looks like Pedey will be back before Marco.

    In baseball, you can't trade 4 quarters to get a dollar. It's not how it works. ERod is a good pitcher, but right now he's damaged goods. Chavis didn't play at all this ST. Ockimey isn't projected to be a major leaguer. I don't think the Sox want to trade Travis just yet.

    Duffy is signed for 4 more years. You'd have to give up ERod, Swihart and Johnson probably. Also, Duffy has never pitched over 180 innings in a year. He's not the guy to put you over the edge. I'd also rather trade Leon. Maybe KC would want Leon for a AAA arm with upside?

    The goal is to trade the minor leaguers that you don't need or at least the ones that won't work out. Sell high. Keep the good ones. So far, DD has made some good decisions. The only questionable trade is Shaw for Thornburg, but nobody on here worried about the trade at the time.

    @PeteAbe Mookie Betts hit Opening Day home runs in each of the last two seasons. He has four career home runs against Rays starter Chris Archer including one leading off the game last July 9.
