    @redsoxstats Assuming no SP trade, have to think Beeks has a good shot to make his debut on Tuesday. Fister's been terrible, Johnson shoulder issues. It'd be interesting to see how a high contact guy like Beeks would do if given a chance. Lefties have been mashing him in PAW though.

    The time to complain about people being *******s is ALWAYS. The most important thing in this world is to be a genuinely good person. And as far as I know, there are no current Sox players with domestic violence, sex assault, DUI, firearm or other nonsense going on.

    Johnson is not pitching tonight from what I've heard. Robby Scott was recalled from AAA, not Johnson.

We’re way past that now. The largely undisputed play-by-play of Price et. al’s confrontation with NESN’s Dennis Eckersley paints the team a bunch of spoiled *******s, and Farrell’s response effectively makes it plain that either his hands or tied or he simply doesn’t care, or, most likely, some combination of both... Without a clear obvious player representative in the clubhouse and without manager inclined to even aspire to it, small beefs have been blown up to maniacal proportions as a perverse team-building exercise.

    @alexspeier Price's DL placement is retroactive to Tuesdy. Sox described it as left elbow inflammation. Best case scenario is that it's a short term issue. We'll know how serious is by Monday when the deadline ends.

    @alexspeier The Red Sox had an off-day yesterday, so there are different ways they can reconfigure rotation. Porcello is moving up a day to start Friday

    And if has the appearance of a phantom DL stint, the story will fester even longer and the crowd reaction will be even worse. It's unfathomable that the Sox would willingly do this.

    I love conspiracy theories. I just don't buy into this one. He's been damaged goods all year. It was only a matter of time until it flared up again. I will actually be relieved if this is a conspiracy theory. That's actually the best case scenario here.

    Yeah, it's not as easy as moon is making it out to be. They are going to be right up to it next year even if they don't bring anyone new in.

    I think it's a coincidence. He had decent starts for 5 straight turns and then looked worse last time out. I'm not surprised that his elbow is bothering him.

    Nothing can be concluded. However, I don't think we should be worried about having a tough stretch. This team needs to be good enough to win a tough series at home without all of us wetting our pants.
