I think CV has a great arm, but the rest of his defense is just ok. He's good enough if he can hit a little. Note: Hannigan was the league leader in 2016. Swihart was 2nd in 2015.

It's the offseason and most of the arguments have been beaten to death. It should pick up next week with the winter meetings starting. Maybe the Sox will try to pick up Jose Iglesias for you! I hope you're prepared for endless cliff talk.

He was the bench coach for the 2002 Sox, but hasn't done much since then. I'm pretty sure that if you dangled a Butch Husky or Reggie Jefferson in front of SCM, that they'd be hired right away.

Matsui was a great player. He OPS+'d 123 the years he was a NYY. Just look at his 2004 season. The reason you think they aren't worth it is they generally don't sign until later in their 20's and are closer to regression. Those guys are still pretty good. Darvish has been as advertised. Ichiro had 10 great years in SEA.
