  2. If moon stopped mentioning it, we'd never hear of the cliff again. "Both sides" is disingenuous.
  3. It's a projection based on past performance and he missed almost 2 full seasons.
  4. Schrodinger's Cliff
  5. Nope, the last place finishes will only fuel SBF to live longer in hateful misery.
  6. No, it's more like building a house on the beach that is in a hurricane zone and is dealing with erosion. There are things you can do to prevent the house from collapsing into the sea, some of which might be very difficult. However, a big storm could come and swoop the house away, or you could be fine for a few decades.
  7. I'm fine with that plan. I don't want to package JBJ for Abreu or Stanton.
  8. They wouldn't be playing in BOS though.
  9. As part of a larger package. Move him while there is still any value.
  10. Any day now. Thankfully, avocado ice cream exists.
  11. Were there this many cliff posts over in the bad place?
  12. They don't have the same value as Dubon or Basabe? Really?
  13. I'm not sold on Travis until he can hit for power. Trade!
  14. I like players who play hard, win AND have a clean uniform.
  15. It's sad to say, but his concussion history is something to be wary of. Even if he looks great in ST, he could wake up April 1 and never play again.
  16. Santana and Cobb would be ok, but Nunez and Victorino play differing roles. Nunez would be a super utility guy. Victorino was an anchor in RF. Also, relying on career years for one more run is a fool's errand.
  17. Chavis, Ockimey, Brannen, Travis, Dalbec et al could continue to develop. After 2012, Mookie Betts wasn't a top 20 Sox Prospect. Things happen.
  18. Trade for the next Pomeranz while he's still cheap. Re-sign Sale or trade for the next Sale? FA Sale's don't come around very often (except for Max Scherzer sp?). I like Beeks as a 4-5, not a 2. Groome is a question mark that may never pan out. Houck is too far away right now. Closers are easy to get.
  19. That's a much better analogy than a post I was going to make. Kudos.
  20. The farm can't really be that strong if it doesn't have any pitching. You can't have a 25 man roster with 20 positional players.
  21. Here's a move that will get things popping on TS!!!! @Buster_ESPN Some rival evaluators believe the Red Sox and Astros may be best positioned in the discussions for free agent reliever Mike Minor. Both teams have a need for a lefty.
  22. I'd take Hernandez or Lin over Holt. I think you could replicate Holt off the waiver wire.
  23. As part of the right package. Raudes is more valuable as a talking point on SP podcasts.
  24. You know, if something worked before: NEVER DO IT AGAIN!
  25. Yup, until the Sox can develop pitching, they have to trade their positional prospects for MLB ready pitching. Otherwise, it's going to look more and more like 2012, 2014 and 2015.
