  1. I'm the eternal optimist who wants to eat my cake and have it too. I want Hanley to play like 2013 for
  2. I think people are overstating how much Cora bungled game 1. I think he was fine that game. He had back to back relievers s*** the bed. Hard to manage around that.
  3. s***, I forgot about that one. Think they could still get EE for him? Now that would be going all in.
  4. It's also swapping JBJ's glove for Mitch Moreland's bat. Not really excited about that option. This move really only makes sense if there's organizational OF depth.
  5. Grady Little was a victim of randomness!
  6. Considering Hanley's injury history, I'm not expecting him to reach the PA's even if he's hitting well.
  7. Yes, I know what quotations are used for and was just seconding your joke.
  8. If that's the case, why aren't there more reports of GMs being interested?
  9. I'm concerned with 19 because some posters can't stop talking about a window that may or may not exist. I can't see how you can complain about a window closing, but want to spend $20M on Hanley next year.
  10. Loving that daily baseball today!
  11. It's about maximizing your payroll. It' a poor use of $20M since Hanley wouldn't get that AAV as a free agent.
  12. Every winter? Sure. I haven't heard of any recent calls since he's stopped hitting altogether since getting to the Ft.
  13. And bad things for 2019.
  14. I was at a home opener at McCoy once where it was in the 20's. That's some ********.
  15. I'm going to need a source for this.
  16. I agree. One of my concerns last year was how Farrell handled the Pedey and Price situations. The clubhouse seems to be in a better place this year under Cora.
  17. In order to win the division, you still have to beat the below .500 teams. Discounting the wins when the offense isn't firing on all cylinders is definitely pushing it. Sox fans should be happy about the start.
  18. It's keeping him on the field, but he's probably not a top 10 CFer and the concerns of not being able to afford to re-sign him are overstated.
  19. I doubt he actually rests on his laurels though. We think he does, but I bet he's a pretty busy guy.
  20. It's due to the additional "weather issues." I'd push back the season to April 15th for any venue north of the Mason Dixon.
  21. Many dumpster dives either want a clear path to the majors or an MLB contract. Sox don't fit either scenario, IMO.
  22. Too bad Glorious is out for the whole year.
