I'm not so sure it is a fluke. I don't think it has anything to do with hitters feeling like they don't need to score 10 runs, it's just a function of Sale being more likely to be opposed by top of the rotation starters than ERod.

Usually promotions come after minor league all-star breaks, the first one of note is Salem closer Matthew Gorst to Portland. Drafted last year and had a 1.59 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 33 K in 28 IP.
Travis is not a good trade chip. I'd say the Sox have some good pen arms (like Buttrey), some high end lower level guys (like Mata) and decent org guys (like Ockimey) that are better than Travis. I think Beeks has decent value.
JBJ is good for one great month.
