  1. https://www.sbnation.com/2016/7/23/12264116/chris-sale-sent-home-for-cutting-up-white-sox-throwback-jerseys Happy 2nd anniversary to Chris Sale tearing the s*** out of those throwback jerseys and getting himself traded to the Good Sox.
  2. Only because Vazquez is injured.
  3. Sore wrist. DTD. Well that doesn't help his trade value...
  4. The biggest thing about Buttrey was him cutting his walk rate in half. Knowing that he's going to throw strikes, hitters just can't sit back and wait for him to shoot himself in the foot.
  5. Yeah, it was the only thing that made me wince about the trade at the time. The trade didn't work out, but I don't lament losing Shaw.
  6. Kelly's LOB% is 66.2% which is pretty s*****. He also has a BB/9 of 4.43 which is the second worst of his career. He's been really solid for the most part, but there are some real stinkers thrown in that can really affect a reliever's numbers.
  7. I would agree that Dubon is the bigger loss to this year's team as he'd be the starting 2b. He's out with an ACL injury this year.
  8. He's 5th on the team in OPS. Let's not overstate what Travis Shaw is any more than we already do. That team would be really good without him. The Sox are leading the league in runs and OPS. They don't need Travis Shaw.
  9. Pearce would probably get more run at 3b in an emergency position than Swihart.
  10. He's played all of 7 games in AAA. Where would Chavis play? Maybe he'll get a September call up, but I doubt he's going to be on the postseason roster or anything. And by your logic: Chavis is only hittig .222 in AA this year!
  11. A corresponding bullpen injury. I think the Sox are rightfully skeptic about how well his stuff will play in the majors. He'll get a shot at some point. Not sure they need to force him on the roster. It's not like he has Feltman's upside.
  12. If the Sox didn't nab Pearce, Jose Martinez would have been a platoon bench bat to grab. You don't want him playing the field though.
  13. http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2018/feb/20/kevin-nicholson/which-higher-number-people-or-number-guns-america/ Hard to know for sure. However, even if the lower estimate is 250 million guns, that sounds more than enough to me.
  14. Only 1 bb for Hernandez?
  15. Taken before Trey Ball: Mark Appel (1st), Kohl Stewart (in AAA, may make MLB someday) Taken before Groome: Mickey Moniak (1st - once ranked 17th best prospect, now well out of top 100 and sliding), Riley Pint (not doing much), Braxton Garrett (also injured)
  16. Every club does tho.
  17. They just get to pitch him the job for an extra 3 months.
  18. I think it's because most writers haven't really poured over the numbers. They'll do so at year end and give it to the rightful guy.
  19. Last night, Pom went 6 innings, 1 earned run, 5 k's, 2 bb's. I still believe he's getting the call up to replace ERod.
  20. Scott is a great LOOGY guy. LHB can't hit him.
  21. Let’s see if Devers can beat that when he comes back.
  22. I don't think Groome ever makes it to the majors.
  23. He was only signed a few weeks ago. I'm sure you have much more important things going on in your life.
  24. Real men take Viagra even when they don't need to. If you aren't flying a sweatpants boner 24/7, you aren't a real man. It's just the truth. Sorry.
