Depends on what the eye test is? He looks decent with his glove out there to me, but I just say that due to my extensive scouting and coaching history! His throwing needs work for sure, but I think that's something that can be worked on. He's got the range and athletic ability.

I thought it would be fun to bump an old thread for historical purposes. I don't know how often I'll do it, but probably when the mood hits. To me, the best day in TalkSox history is the December 5, 2010. That day, AGon was secretly meeting with the Sox to get a physical for a trade for 3 prospects (reportedly Kelly, Fuentes and Rizzo). Most of us were rather excited over this and would have added additional prospects to the deal to make it happen. While we were all fantasizing about Petco Park spray charts, Jon Heyman (super douchebag number one) decided to throw some cold water onto us. This brought out both the worst and the best of some posters. GoBruins2011, A700 and SCM33 were happy to denounce Theo over and over for being incompetent. Other smart posters were telling everyone to relax and have some patience. That day was a roller coaster of emotion for many posters. If you want to go back and read it, it starts around post #2,015. The following 500 posts that finally conclude with AGon's deal being confirmed as full of classic TalkSox personalities that have either been banned, left in the dustbin of history or dearly passed away. No. Super bandwagony. Gillette is a miserable experience. Lots of ignorant people that don’t know the sport. People complain about Red Sox pink hats, but Pats fans are 95% pink hats. The team has been great. Tom and Bill are amazing. Everything else about the Pats sucks (owner, stadium, regional fans).
